ostprussenmann_new Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I recently found this medal at a thrift shop here in the US for $5. Could someone tell me what it is? Whether Civil or Military? What ribbon goes with it. I looked all over for it online and can’t find it. Not well versed in Japanese Medals, but for $5, I thought is was worth a chance. thanks in advance. Back.
JapanX Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) Fake unfortunately. You will find originals (and fakes) here https://asiamedals.info/threads/maintenance-of-public-order-committee-of-jilin-province-merit-medal.23612/ Edited January 11, 2022 by JapanX
1812 Overture Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 伪=Chinese means puppet, fake, Manchukuo was made by the Japanese, but not recognized by the Chinese government, so it is called "pseudo Manchukuo", but they don't call themselves that.
