Adolph von Hansemann received the Orden vom Zähringer Löwen, Ritterkreuz I. Klasse on 3 November 1866 ... but I have the feeling, important as he was, he received much more. Can anyone help out? He died 1903, so I couldn't find him in the Deutscher Ordens-Almanach (1904), just his wife Ottilie (daughter of Generalleutnant Ferdinand von Kusserow). Thanks!

It's not much I can add here: He's still listed as alive (of course!) in Baden's Hof- und Staatshandbuch 1892, and is titled "K. Preuß. Geh. Kommerzienrath". His name, however, is spelled "Adolf" in this Baden source. But that doesn't make too big of a difference, I guess...

    Is this him?

From "Königlich preussische Ordensliste 1877" under "Königlicher Kronen-Orden - Vierte Klasse" (page 835)

The award date is 16. November 1867.

Not the RAO, but according to  "Königlich preussische Ordensliste 1886" (page 613), he was promoted to the 2. class of the Kronen Orden on 18. January 1883.

I checked the Königlich Preußische Ordens-Liste from 1895, and there's still no Red Eagle Order, but he received an additional star to his Royal Crown Order 2nd class cross on March 14th, 1889 (see p. 705).
