Motorhead Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Nothing spectacular this morning, but I found some lonely EKs that I had to rescue.....First is a S-W marked Ek2 in good condition, unfortunately the ribbon ring is open! From my picture database this is a new core variation(in my collection of course)MichaObverse
Motorhead Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 The next one I called "lazy 2" because of the strange stamping at the ribbon ring! But have your self a look....Obverse
Motorhead Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 And the last one for today....I can't make out the maker mark, but it looks like a"W" with something else....,probably a"e" or something like a "G"?The painting of the core looks a little like the"enameld" paint of some KO EKs....Obverse
Daniel Murphy Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Micha, I wish I could go to a local flea market and pick up 3 eks just like that. The "lazy2" as you called it is a very odd maker mark it almost looks like V2O or U20. The second looks like a We with a misformed e. Nice ones.Dan Murphy
Tony Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Nice and noble rescue act Micha.I haven't seen an EK at a flea market up this way (in OWL) for ages, well not at flea market prices.Tony

JensF. Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I have never seen such a mark on an EK2 and I saw a lot. The last one looks like "We".
Bob Hunter Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Congratulations, it looks as if you had a successful hunt.
Bill Garvy Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 As always, you have posted three superb crosses, and I wish I lived where the Iron Crosses grow. . .
