Farkas Posted September 14, 2023 Author Posted September 14, 2023 Hello Gents, This one below is actually just a little snapshot... This one below is a CDV a little bigget than a postcard in size, i’ve added a picture of the reverse as it has a newspaper cutting glued to it... tony 🍻
TracA Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Farkas, Nice to see more additions from your wonderful collection. All the best, Tracy 1
Marcon1 Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Seeing all these soldiers makes you wonder how many of them made it all the way to the end of the war. Not many, I think. The guy on the CDV with the newspaper article on the back did not make it, if that is indeed Hauptmann Emil Regins. Marcon1. 1

I think about that too… particularly the ones there at the start. Some who didn’t make it… Georg Ditheimer Josef Brunner Franz Staolbauer Johann Mauernbod Anton Mullauer tony
TracA Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Tony, What great additions. I especially like the second and fifth. "Poor rabbit". Magnificent! All the best, Tracy 1

All the best, Tracy Thanks as always Tracy, tis appreciated. tony 🍻 I couldn’t resist digging this one out, I knew there was one rabbit card in this little group , turns out there are 2. “ jagd auf den sonntagsbraten “ ” hunting for the Sunday roast “ it gives a different perspective to this next card, not a scene of cute bunnies to this soldier writing home but instead one of a tasty dish… Poor rabbits indeed 😁 cheers tony 🍻
TracA Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Tony, Wow, what a juxtaposition for those rabbits. Tracy 1
Farkas Posted December 16, 2023 Author Posted December 16, 2023 Hello Gents, no prizes for guessing the theme.,. & the reverse with all names 👇 & the reverse 👇 cheers 🍻 tony 1
Christian1962 Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) This appears to be a Bundesheer Generalmajor between 1933 and 1938: Nice pic at all. Is there an inscription on the backside? Regards Christian Edited December 16, 2023 by Christian1962 1

Regards Christian Hello Christian, unfortunately not on this one. it is a glossy photograph rather than a postcard/rppc which would make sense for that later period. I’ve tried to get a better image of him… tony 🍻
