I'm still searching number of awards of pilot and air badges during WW1...

 

Can someone help me ?

 

1) Abzeichen fur Militar-Flugzeugfuhrer (created 27/01/1913)

2) Abzeichen fur Marine-Flugzeugfuhrer von Seeflugzeugen (created 31/5/1913)

3) Abzeichen fur Beobachtungsoffiziere aus Flugzeugen (27/01/1914)

4) Flieger-Erinnerungsabzeichen (27/01/1914)

5) Abzeichen fur Marine-Flugzeugfuhrer von Landflugseugen (created 23/2/1915)

6) Abzeichen fur Beobachter auf Manrineflugzeugen (created 28/5/1915)

7) Erinnerungabzeichen fur Marine-Flugzeugfuhrer und Beobachter (created 26/10/1916)

8))Abzeichen fur Fliegerschutzen (created 27/01/1918)

9) Abzeichen fur Marine-Fliegerschutzen (created 27/01/1918)

Hi

 

Also the date for establish nr 4 Flieger Erinnerungsabzeichen is wrong. To my knowledge the first were awarded very late 1915.

 

I also have doubts about the date for establish nr 8 Fliegerschützabzeichen. To me the first were awarded late April 1918, so mid April 1918 fits better

Wwe often see a difference between introduction of an award and the first awards. 

it is not unusual.

 

Regarding the Erinnerungsabzeichen it is normal that this was not awarded at the beginning. There is an award of the Erinnerungsabzeichen (Bavarian version) to Hptm. Lauterbach dated on 10. Dec. 1914. The Bavarian version was established 2 months later on March 1915
