Stogieman Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 This had an asking open of 65-Euro and sold to an offer. To me, a brand new piece of junk.
ChrisKelly Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) I have never seen that combination of medals before. That, the obvious unofficial "Weltkrieg 1914-18" bar, the apparently felt cloth backing, and the fresh reproduction ribbons are dead giveaways. I wonder if the medals are reproductions as well. Stogieman Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Good Morning All! I have seen non-combatant/civilian bars with two Honor Crosses that were legit. But I agree with you that this is just not right! I don’t think the medals are fake, just the mounting and the Weltkrieg bar. As my dear Friend, Rick Research, used to say….”little monkey fingers have been at work” 😂
Stogieman Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 I suppose it’s possible that this is a stone-cold mint original bar, but I just don’t care for the mounting at all. The individual pieces look good but at an opening bid of 1500- GBP I just can’t see it.

I wouldn’t classify the clasp as unofficial. They did exist. The one shown does look like a recent casting and I agree that the bar would not be for my collection. Edited January 13 by CRBeery
VtwinVince Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I actually like the looks of that Trapetz with the unconventional hooks. 1
Stogieman Posted Sunday at 19:44 Author Posted Sunday at 19:44 I think my Evil Twin, Rick Research, is laughing out loud in Heaven at this one that sold for 278-Euro
Stogieman Posted Sunday at 21:44 Author Posted Sunday at 21:44 I’m on the fence on this one, I don’t know enough about the St. Mike’s to make a decision. I will say that the backing looks brand new to me.
Stogieman Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen! I am unsure of this set, so placing it here and I welcome your feedback. I believe the EK is real, despite the fuzzy pictures. The Sub Badge, I just don’t know. I’ve only owned one in the past. The pin assembly is unlike any I’ve seen before. The little engraved tag is interesting, as is the case. It brought 1010-Euro. What do you think?
Stogieman Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago This was offered in the US eBay for $297, no taker. I’m on the fence on it. It does seem to have pretty convincing details. Thoughts??
VtwinVince Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago You're right, the EK is real, but I think the rest is crap. I had that Philipp Cross checked out by 'the Germans', it's a fake.
