Stogieman Posted June 17, 2024 Author Posted June 17, 2024 Fake repeat clasp, $215. One would think that when the same seller keeps selling the same, rare items over and over that perhaps something is not quite right, but hey, what do I know?

Perhaps he discovered a hidden stock from that period... 🙂 Edited June 17, 2024 by Giannis S. 1
Stogieman Posted June 19, 2024 Author Posted June 19, 2024 I cannot even begin to say how disappointed I am to find our infamous purveyor of fakes hawking this right now for 30-Euro
Stogieman Posted June 24, 2024 Author Posted June 24, 2024 I’m putting this one here, second case like this to run through German eBay. Looks brand new. Asking was 990-Euro, sold to an offer. Last one was allegedly an Albert Officer’s Cross, this one too but stated “swords am ring”
VtwinVince Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 Hmmm, I guess you could get triggered by these.....
Stogieman Posted July 2, 2024 Author Posted July 2, 2024 I don’t think this is legit, opening bid was 585-Euro. If it was real it should have gone for stupid money. The quality of the copies is getting downright scary. I’ve only seen one real one, which I believe was posted in my Traveling Circus thread
VtwinVince Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Agreed, pictures aren't optimal, but the fakers are busy.

I think the individual pieces are real, but the mounting is a monstrosity. Wrong precedence, style and what looks like a hand-snipped catch for the pin. Final bid was $385 This monstrosity reappeared on US eBay and received bids up to $797
Stogieman Posted July 8, 2024 Author Posted July 8, 2024 Another beastly huge medal bar, loaded with veteran private purchase pieces, not to regulation in any way. Asking $555
VtwinVince Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 What does the engraving say? Here's another PLM, already up to 1K, bargain for a 'real' Godet.
Stogieman Posted July 10, 2024 Author Posted July 10, 2024 Hi Vince, the engraving on the back of the star , here’s an enlarged image
VtwinVince Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Full marks for effort. Can anyone spot the spelling errors?
Stogieman Posted July 12, 2024 Author Posted July 12, 2024 Here’s a fun fake bar in Germany, usual suspect, asking 500-
Stogieman Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 I think the EK2 might be legit but the clasp is a copy. $525, usual suspect
Stogieman Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 Reasonably certain this is a copy, sold for $225

VtwinVince Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Ridiculous. For various reasons I believe that engraving to be completely spurious.
VtwinVince Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 I thought this one might have a real Anhalt Order of Albert the Bear, but according to 'the Germans', it isn't.
Stogieman Posted July 26, 2024 Author Posted July 26, 2024 And yet another fake 1870 Grand Cross in a made up case. Sold to an unknown offer, asking was $1350
Stogieman Posted July 26, 2024 Author Posted July 26, 2024 @VtwinVince hey Vince! What’s wrong with the Anhalt Albert?
