Stogieman Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 Rather heavily damaged, but quite real, 389-Euro
Stogieman Posted January 24 Author Posted January 24 I’m not positive about this one. The individual pieces look good to me and the overall age looks appropriate. My concern is with the maker’s tag for Scharffenburg. How is it that someone with the two rather significant Prussian awards has nothing from Saxony? Is that even realistic? Your comments and thoughts are appreciated. The bar sold for 600-Euro
Stogieman Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 And another one I am unsure of, and even if legit, I don’t understand the frenzy. 494-Euro!
VtwinVince Posted January 25 Posted January 25 To me that's a parts bar, don't like the mounting. This guy is selling a few nice items. Apparently this RAO4mS is a foreign manufacture piece.

VtwinVince Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I posted images of this RAO for opinions, and members were of the opinion that this piece resembles others that have appeared on medal bars. 1
Stogieman Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 I rather like this one, it’s appearing to be consistent with two I owned in the past. But I really need our Bavarian Experts to weigh in on this. It’s an incredibly rare piece. It doesn’t appear to have had any swords removed. Your thoughts? Opening bid was 450-Euro, no takers. Unfortunately, there’s so many copies floating around out there!
Schießplatzmeister Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Well, I am no expert, but the piece could?? be genuine. But, it would take a very detailed comparison with known genuine pieces to come to such a conclusion. Better photos would help in lieu of personal inspection of the piece. The biggest problem is that the original ribbon ring is gone of course so there is no "A.H." nor "E.Q." marking to see. This is definitely not a Merck piece. One could make a forgery though by removing swords and flames from a MVO 4th with Swords and re-assembling the piece. I cannot currently draw a conclusion without comparing it to genuine pieces or the plates in Sascha Zimmermann's book. I have access to neither at the moment.
Stogieman Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Thanks for weighing in, no other images from the listing that I have but I think it’s been relisted so I will see if I can find it again
Stogieman Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 I’m thinking this is legit, but I need Vince to weigh in, I know he has a legit one.
Stogieman Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Sorry, opening bid for that bar was 1299-Euro, no takers
VtwinVince Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I only have the fourth class, the third class is quite rare. On first glance that one stands a chance, but we need more photos.
Stogieman Posted Saturday at 14:27 Author Posted Saturday at 14:27 Did anybody see this group? The bar looks legit to me but I have no clue what the two pieces to the left are! Asking was 2500-Euro
VtwinVince Posted Saturday at 16:43 Posted Saturday at 16:43 Missed that one, depending on the Johanniter (ie. period and if it's real gold) that might have been a realistic price.
Stogieman Posted Sunday at 12:38 Author Posted Sunday at 12:38 I liked this bar and it only brought $178!
Stogieman Posted Sunday at 15:26 Author Posted Sunday at 15:26 Unsure of this one, the precedence is right but a rather unusual combination. 333-Euro. What are your thoughts?
VtwinVince Posted Sunday at 16:44 Posted Sunday at 16:44 Medals look real, but the bar is not believable.
Stogieman Posted Sunday at 17:11 Author Posted Sunday at 17:11 Thanks Vince, this one brought 437-Euro
Stogieman Posted Sunday at 20:01 Author Posted Sunday at 20:01 Nice miniature St. Henry RK, sold for 149-Euro
Stogieman Posted Monday at 12:47 Author Posted Monday at 12:47 This rather impressive medal bar from US eBay brought a very strong $2283! I think the precedence is a bit unusual but looks like a perfect Godet spange to me. May be identifiable too! 1

Hi Rick, was even discussed on SDA, here with further informations to KO X am weissen Band: https://www.ordens-forum.de/forum/index.php?thread/91638-godet-schnalle-dswa/&postID=661925#post661925 Kind regards Andreas
VtwinVince Posted Monday at 16:44 Posted Monday at 16:44 Correct Rick, it was ID'd over at SDA, and I would have bid if the Canadian dollar wasn't so weak right now. The best medal bar I've seen in years on fleabay.
