Soviet Opinions on Liberation Medals

I am getting paranoid after seeing the polish fakesite. What do you think about these two medals? I bought them about 10 years ago. Both look like a T-34 drove over them...

the Liberation of Prague is okay, but the Vienna Medal looks indeed a little strange. I am curious, what other members will say...

I can't see anything wrong with them. I agree the Vienna medal looks a bit weird but it is probably ok, just very worn.

Did they even fake campaign medals 10 years ago?

yes they did !! They started to fake campaign medals short after the wall broke down. At first the

rarer campaign medals (Belgrad, Sewastopal...) and the WW II excellent awards (best submariner,

torpedo specialist...) I bought the first fakes around 1992/93.

The Prague medal looks okay to me, the ring of the Vienna looks a bit strange but it seems to be

okay. A better picture of the details of the branch/twig would help.

Thank You for the information about that.

I guess the fakes were not very good back then. Or could they be mistaken for originals? Some of the recent fakes are quite scary.
