JensF.
I am getting paranoid after seeing the polish fakesite. What do you think about these two medals? I bought them about 10 years ago. Both look like a T-34 drove over them... Edited May 26, 2006 by JensF.

Gerd Becker
Jens, the Liberation of Prague is okay, but the Vienna Medal looks indeed a little strange. I am curious, what other members will say...Gerd
SWE Erik
I can't see anything wrong with them. I agree the Vienna medal looks a bit weird but it is probably ok, just very worn.Did they even fake campaign medals 10 years ago?/Erik
Alfred
Did they even fake campaign medals 10 years ago?/ErikErik,yes they did !! They started to fake campaign medals short after the wall broke down. At first therarer campaign medals (Belgrad, Sewastopal...) and the WW II excellent awards (best submariner, torpedo specialist...) I bought the first fakes around 1992/93.The Prague medal looks okay to me, the ring of the Vienna looks a bit strange but it seems to beokay. A better picture of the details of the branch/twig would help.regardsAndreas

Some of the recent fakes are quite scary. /Erik
