joe campbell Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 (edited) sometimes the most interesting things you'll findare at your local shows.this was an "under the table 'what do you think of this?' piece"from someone i've known for a number of years.it made me smile, and i didn't quibble on price too much....ladies' boutonniere configuration to the ribbon, which does notfloresce. the pin is tightly and neatly sewn into ribbon bar thickness ribbon with perhaps 25-30 mm ribbon making up the bow.the pin is unmarked on the surfaces i can see.the cross is a bit degraded, but retains most of the rhodium anda great deal of the frosting to the ridging.the ring is marked on the obverse 100 in incuse, and is incorporated intothe smaller ribbon prior to the pin being sewed.while my primary interest is Imperial, this was an unusual enough piece for me to add to my limited TR crosses.your comments/thoughts are warmly appreciated!joe Edited June 3, 2006 by joe campbell
notned Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Hi Joe,Very nice!I can see why you picked it up...the variations of mounting are Interesting, along with the fact that someone probably wore this with pride!CheersPaul
ksg Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Here is my lady's boutonniere and lapel button it came together with. The lapel button is well worn but this don't show up in the photo. The full size ribbon is a bit different from yours but the maker of this cross is also 100.Kjell[attachmentid=44405]

Bob Hunter Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 (edited) Very nice, Joe but it still doesn't compare to your imperial midwife's badge. But that's just my opinion... Edited June 23, 2006 by Bob Hunter
