Tim B Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Interesting and good to know information. The reason I asked about those generic red cases back in post #46, I remember seeing a lot of Albanian Partisan Stars, mostly the gold versions, being offered for sale in these type cases back circa 2009 and wondered if it might have been an indicator of some type of anniversary presentation pieces, similar to all those Russian Order of Patriotic War badges. Providing all goes well, I hope to have a nice bronze 3rd class example sometime this week. Tim
Tim B Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Finally... holiday mail slowdowns, inclement weather, it finally arrives. These are really nice in hand. A couple of quick questions/clarifications regarding the 3rd class awards. - Was it ever fully agreed on exactly who made the 3rd class PS; IKOM - ZAGREB or PRÄWEMA (DDR)? - Was there ever a Soviet 3rd class version produced; GOZNAK or MONDVOR? Still looking to add a 2nd class silver version. Tim
Kallarati Heroik Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 3rd class was made by IKOM-ZAGREB. I never seen a MONDVOR version of 3rd class. NEVER. These are my MONDVOR stars. 1 & 2 class.
Tim B Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Thank you my friend for the confirmation here! Very nice MONDVOR examples! I will be looking for the IKOM-ZAGREB silver version now, any idea on prices these days? Tim
Zaim Qyteza Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Dear all, This is the Partisan Star III class, first type (Mondvor). A. Untitled-15.tif

Georg14 Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Good Day, Gentlemen. What is Your opinion about the authentic of this subject ? It is positioned as 1 class. Of course this is the GDR, but I ask because a lot of gold-plated lower classes appeared on sale. Thanks.
Kallarati Heroik Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 This order of partisan star was sold today on ebay for 223$. It is 100% AUTHENTIC and it is made in IKOM - ZAGREB. (Not in GDR) as you said. YES, IT IS 1st CLASS IKOM ZAGREB.
Georg14 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Thanks for Your answer. But here is the granular surface under enamel - characteristic for the GDR/Prawema and the nut is also GDR type. On the IKOM's, the surface under the enamel is smooth and the nut is completely different. P.S. There are a few more 1 cl., one of which is similar to IKOM. Edited March 24, 2017 by Georg14
Kallarati Heroik Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Better than me, ARTAN LAME can give you an exact answer. Regards

And what maker did them silver with gold plated? How can one identify if it's massive gold or gilted? Kind regards, Gerd V On 15-6-2016 at 00:58, Kallarati Heroik said: Based in the LAME BOOK, 1st class is made by solid gold, and another version by solid silver with gold plated. Based in the LAME BOOK, 2nd class is made by bronze and silver plated. In reality, some people say that is and another version of 2nd class made by SOLID SILVER, but I proof it in a JEWELRY SHOP and it is made by bronze with a VERY STRONG SILVER LAYERED. Based in the LAME BOOK, 3rd class is made by bronze. HAPPY COLLECTING MY FRIEND.
gerd vantyghem Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Hi friends, I've recenty bought this empty Partizan Star box on Ebay which was in perfect condition... When I got it, it was just packed in a foamed envelope (not in a box), and was wrapped in some paper. Dispite all that, the box was severly damaged :-(( I contacted the seller and he immediately refunded all my money. As I think these boxes are quite rare, I proposed to check what the remaining collectible value is, and propose him this price. Up to the seller to agree or not. Else I will send it back. As you can see, ALL the seams on the box has ripped and split...It must have been crushed in the mail under the weight of all the other packages and letters... It's such a shame as I'm sure this is rare: a 2nd class silver IKOM star is rare... Not to mention it's box in perfect condition... :(( What would be the remaining value of the sale price? 25%?? Kind regards, Gerd V
Kallarati Heroik Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 THAT BOX / CASE IS NOT FOR ALBANIA PARTISAN STAR. I AM VERY SURE. ALSO, YOU CAN ASK ARTAN LAME. REGARDS.
gerd vantyghem Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Oh damm I placed in the wrong threat... It's a box for a yugoslav star of course... Mod: could you please delete my last posts. I'll retype in the right topic. Sorry!
paja Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 (edited) Greetings gentlemen, I'm far from being an expert for Albanian decorations so I'd like to hear your opinions regarding this 1st class, could it be Soviet type made out of gold? It was awarded to Yugoslavian citizen. All comments are more than welcome. Edited October 18, 2017 by paja
Kallarati Heroik Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 MADE IN MONDVOR, SOVIET UNION. METAL IS SOLID GOLD. MAYBE 22KT. 1st CLASS. REGARDS.
paja Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Thank you very much! What would be a fair price for an order in this condition?
Kallarati Heroik Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 ON EBAY, BEFORE 3 YEARS, IT WAS SOLD 1400$ IN NEW CONDITION. BOUGHT IT AN ISRAEL COLLECTOR & SELLER. IT WAS SOLD BY A SELLER HERE IN TIRANA, IN NEW BAZZAR, NEAR MY HOME. WITH THAT PROBLEM ON ENAMEL, FOR MY OPINION THE PRICE WOULD BE 1000 EUROS. REGARDS.
paja Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Thanks again, I'll try to make better photos today. If you ever need help with Serbian or Yugoslav militaria don't hesitate to ask. Best regards
gerd vantyghem Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 How can one see whether it's solid gold, whether it is gilted? Kind regards, Gerd V 13 hours ago, Kallarati Heroik said: MADE IN MONDVOR, SOVIET UNION. METAL IS SOLID GOLD. MAYBE 22KT. 1st CLASS. REGARDS.
Kallarati Heroik Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 I KNOW ALBANIAN AWARDS WITH EYES CLOSED. SO THAT ONE OF PAJA IS SOLID GOLD. EVERYONE WHO COLLECT ALBANIAN AWARDS, MUST HAVE LAME BOOK. IN THAT BOOK ARE SOME MISTAKES, BUT IN 90% IS CORRECT.
