Stogieman Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Here's an interesting 1950's Military Pilot, 3rd. Class. But wait! It has a flat space and a stamped serial number! The screw nut bears a Czech maker mark, so....... does anybody know..... is it Soviet, or a slavishly copied piece used by the Czech military???
gor Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Yes, it's Czech , they used the same design in aviation badges but with a numbers.
Riley1965 Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I have the same 1950's wings but the Soviet version. No s/n Doc
Stogieman Posted June 25, 2006 Author Posted June 25, 2006 Thanks Igor, glad to have that cleared up. I'm still very happy to have this as it cost a whopping $1.98!
Stogieman Posted June 26, 2006 Author Posted June 26, 2006 The twin and I were wondering how many were issued.... this one has a pretty low number!
meyerse Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I have a pair of navigators badges (1st and 2nd class) with these Czech nuts, did they copy those as well?
meyerse Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Pics, nuts look to be Czech, so I suppose these are not Russian? I've seen claims both ways.

Eric Gaumann Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Sorry for the late reply Meyersee. They sure look like Soviet, Pobeda factory badges. What do the nuts say? I can't quite read them.
meyerse Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 The nuts are czech, so I would guess the badges are as well.....
