Paul R Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Bumping this one back up... surely there are some comments on this Overseas Cap. I have never seen one in this type of material. Has anyone else?
meyer Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 (edited) I'm not the person to tell you this is period or not, but it's definitly not the material i'm used to see with these kinds of caps. The insignia looks ok to me. I'll check some books, maybe i can find a pic of this kind of material Edited December 3, 2006 by meyer
John Burchell Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Could the "Traditions-Abzeichen" or badge which might have been on this cap (see post #2 above) have been like this pictured below, perhaps?
Paul R Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 It looks like a possible candidate. Any other traditions badges that fit these dimensions?
KM-SPAIN Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Juan, as other have said the material in not the usual in a sailor bordm?tze, this is more usual in the officer quality caps, but for me is OK and probably is a private purchase cap. The lining cloth is looks also Ok for me. Nice cap.
Paul R Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I think that it is OK as well. I was remarking to the variation in the material. I am glad that it seems to be not only good, but a rarer variation.!
Michel Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Hello Juan,Not a textbook (cloth and seams are unusual) but a good one.Regards,Michel
jcsanche Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 Hello thanks for all the replies. It is my only KM item and a keeper.regardsJuan
