Kriegsmarine KM overseas cap

I would like opinions on this KM cap. I collect Heer so is not my cup of tea. I bought it about 12 years ago. The inside is unmarked or too faded.

Bumping this one back up... surely there are some comments on this Overseas Cap. I have never seen one in this type of material. Has anyone else?

I'm not the person to tell you this is period or not, but it's definitly not the material i'm used to see with these kinds of caps.

The insignia looks ok to me. I'll check some books, maybe i can find a pic of this kind of material

Could the "Traditions-Abzeichen" or badge which might have been on this cap (see post #2 above) have been like this pictured below, perhaps?

It looks like a possible candidate. Any other traditions badges that fit these dimensions?

Juan, as other have said the material in not the usual in a sailor bordm?tze, this is more usual in the officer quality caps, but for me is OK and probably is a private purchase cap. The lining cloth is looks also Ok for me. Nice cap.

I think that it is OK as well. I was remarking to the variation in the material. I am glad that it seems to be not only good,but a rarer variation.!
