    Hi John!

    Thanks for the images!!

:speechless: I tried a lot but I couldn?t spot the difference between the two badges

Am I blind? I even made a picture of them side by side...

The answer... The one with the "difference" has a swas with symmetrical arms. The vast majority of these badges have the wide right-hand arm, zinckers having the most pronounced form.

A modified or repaired die? This maker certianly had problems, going on the die flaws and cracks found.

Anyway, This is the reason I bought the worn one with symmetrical 'what-its'. Nothing special, but seldom seen.:cheers:

 I was looking in the wrong place!!

Can you indicate a book that covers the makers of awards? Not a just a list, but any additional info about them... I also tried to search more info about Prof. Richard Klein but never found any...

    Thanks,

    Ricardo

My mistake fellas!! :catjava: I thought the bird was fake but the wreath was real....the right wing fletchings (when looking at the badge) look kinda strange.

    Interesting variation!! Hmmmmmm

I thought John might be trying to slip in a GWL Pilot badge.....

For comparison can somebody put the FLL besides a GWL??

    Thanks.

Thanks for your speedy reply...as always.

    Hello Gary,

I asked the same question on the other forum, and the most probable answer is the oxidation of Selenium - used on the badge finish.

    Cheers,
