Rogi Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Wow what an amazing group Unfortuantley I don't know Ed but I believe if Nick (JapanX) knows him he would be able to help
Bob Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 WARNING! Somebody is trying to sell this group and the person offering it for sale is NOT the owner of the group. The person is also active on eBay and I've already had to register one "unreceived item" claim and expect to have to register another one soon as well. Can provide more details over PM.
JapanX Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Anybody here still in touch with Ed? The easiest way will be through his own forum South Asia Gongshttp://sagongs.ipbhost.com/index.php?
Bob Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 The seller has posted more rare items. Photographs "ripped" from others. The red banners and hero were items stolen from the National History Museum. Stay clear of this seller or you'll lose your money and get nothing in return for it.
Bob Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/13222-commercial-sources/ Very strong suspicion now as to who is behing the "games" currently on eBay
utopis Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Haha, I finally found that seller on ebay. Hilarious, military red banner 2, 3, 4 in one auction from a seller with rating 8 and only 83% positive.
JapanX Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Guys, please post links on auctions of this notorious seller
Bob Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 eBay item number: 291007507989 then click to see his other items
Bob Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) The 3 red banners are pics of items in the hands of a Russian The soyombo group is in Ed's hands The documented red banner was readily available at a UB market just this morning (despite the item being listed as being in Korea right now) The hero (and 3 red banners) were stolen from the national history museum in 2006 In communication with me the seller used 4 different names... to start with he (in error) used what i believe is his real name... somebody we know who sold items several years ago and was kicked off ebay for bad practices Based on the low bids, quite a lot of people must be reading this and another forum where this is being discussed Edited November 3, 2013 by Bob
utopis Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Naa, I think a lot of super rarities + that selling profile alarms even the bravest bargain hunters
Bob Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) He's making it too easy... his initial purchases on this account were probably filters for a motor cycle. Let's see... Mongolia, motor cycle, knowledge of mongolian awards... never mind his dumb errors to initially share his real name. All in all quite easy to figure out who was behind it - same person who played eBay "games" in the past. It's nice to know the fraudsters are getting DUMBER Edited November 3, 2013 by Bob
utopis Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 By the way notice in the item description "no watchers only buyer" - what is that supposed to mean? So we're not allowed to put that on the watch - list or what?
JapanX Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Yes, but he also wrote "THANKS FOR LOOKING" P.S. Not very optimistic buyer feedbacks "Item is not shipped. Watch Out: Seller sells items he does NOT own" "Item not delivered! Other listings are stolen goods!" Seller response "BULLSHT"
JapanX Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Personally I would classify this game as "typical class B- eBay fraud game"
Bob Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/5058-mongolian-state-security/page-9 Solved...
Bob Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 The story is unravelling. The fraudulent person has left so many clues it's not even funny anymore. Will be making a rather long post with all the evidence in the coming days. There's a rotten apple which needs to be called out and kicked out.
