    1. 4th bar, This one is impossible to track, but actually WW2 bars with Finnish Crosses of Liberty type 1941 are very difficult to find. Enjoy
    2. 3rd bar, This might be difficult, though I have no idea how many of the Order, that is 2nd on the bar was awarded. I am not sure wheter I will be able to find list of German recipient for Finnish Civil Guards Cross of merit (last one). Nice combination anyway. All your thoughts are welcome,
    3. 2nd bar, This is big one with Hohenzollern and Red Eagle, also Centennial medal tells, that when in Finland 1918 he has been in his 40's. My biggest hopes regarding tracking the owner goes with this. Jani
    4. Dear Friends, I have got new nice medal bars. I believe some of these could be tracked and wish any help. If the number of possibly recipients could be limited to reasonable number of people I will be able to get list of Finnish 2nd class Crosses of Liberties awarded to Germans. I will gladly share my information if any has similar research going on. I know some are impossible to track, but enjoy the pictures 1st Colonial veteran w/Bremen & Lubeck and 2nd class Cross of Liberty. Jani Tiainen

    11. Dear Friends, I have never seen these before. I wish somebody would be able to help me. I have two badges: 1.) "Deutsch Japan tagung 1939", obviously Hitler Jugend badge. No maker mark. Very common pin back. Very high quality! 2.) "6. Deutsch Japan arad Tagung. St Christopham Arlberg Tirol" 1944. Maker marked and very high quality. (So it seems that that was annual thing since the 1944 was sixth.) I believe these might be original badges, but for what ? Just some "German - Japan brothers in arms thing"... but with HJ??? (It seems that that was annual thing since the 1944 was sixth.) Though I believe as well these might be fakes since they seem to exists... I just did not manage to find picture... 12. Second page of Soldbuch (Unable to read His other award certificates I have: Badens Milit?rischen Karl-Friedrich silver merit medal Deutsche Feld-Ehrenzeichen Hindenburg Cross Hungarian Kriegerinnerungsmedaille ?sterrreichche Kriegerinnerungsmedaille I need to scan the Ordens page from Soldbuch as well because it looks like there is something more... and Soldbuch tells as Rick said he is from Baden and stamp is exactly that regiment Jani
    13. I also have i other certificates but posted only the ones strongly related to Finland. I hope you enjoy! Many of these I have only seen the ones I just showed. Jani
    14. And this I guess is "receipt" he got when the medal was posted to him later.
    15. Commemorative medal of Liberation war - document for Germans. (Swedish has as well similar in Swedish) - even the regular document is also in Swedish and of course Finnish.
    16. And that is rare piece of paper. Award doc. for Finnish Cross of Liberty 3rd class w/swords. Document has two pages - another in German (!) and another in Finnish. This is the German page
    17. EK2 Document. Award earned in Finland during the fighting agains reds. It looks like the signature is v.d.Goltz himself
    18. Telegraph from April 1918, which I unfortunately can not read. (Tip for Germans to help to translate it ;)
    19. Excellent list! Thanks for amazing effort!!!! I want to contribute something in to this thread and give one of those men "face" (Picture I dont have but all his documents) 2. Bayerische Gebirgs-Artillerie-Abteilung: Leutnant Oppenheim (I believe my documents belong to this man even name is Oppenheimer, or did miss my Oppenheim from the lists?) First page of Soldbuch
    20. Hello Friends, It looks genuine, though definetly not typical issue. Official pin backs were the very first ones awarded - I believe this could have been awarded to German and the recipient has wanted it to be with pin, instead of screw. Jani
    21. I would be interested to know how to make sure medals are made by original manufacurer. I am aware that a lot of these were sold as unissued - even with quite low serial numbers and they dont particularily interest collectors (As seen in the auction) - this is the only type I have ever seen. I just would like to make sure two medals we had are made by original maker. Does anyone have a picture of actually awarded medal? Jani
    22. http://www.medalhouse.com/print_page.html&pr=1 Thanks for your interest, Jani
    23. Its cross given to Veterans of Finnish the Army in the in the 55th anniversary of the Finnish Military Forces. I think the ones received that in 1936 were the career (cadre) officers who were in Finnish Army in that year - and I guess officers who has got their officer training in Imperial Finnish Army (= Imperial Russian Army before 1917) also received these but there was not many left at that time. Its quite complicated cross and among few others like this much undervalued these days. I should re-check my references. Jani
    24. That is very interesting story! Please keep us updated when new information comes up. I wish they will find out what actually happened. Jani
