    1. No one by his name is registered in a transatlantic passenger or immigration list. I found this - he died in 1967
    2. If you search his name on Ancesrty.com you might find him on a transatlantic passenger list, it will provide his hometown in Germany.
    3. Don, you are absolutely right on both accounts; no one was implying anything shady and yes, we should call a fake when we see them. I just wanted to let the readers know that I believe that Rocky did not know that the item he offered for sale was in fact a fake.

    7. Rocky is a trustworthy person - without hesitation I believe the above statement. Hardy
    8. Where did Ludwig von Poschinger serve during WWI? I found two Poschinger, one served in Ulanen-Rgt.6 and the other in an Infanterie Rgt. - Which one is Ludwig and what were his WWI awards?

    11. Good question. Well - you can't. However, the shiny boards are more likely to be worn by the Luftwaffe than the Heer.
    12. No, the first two NCOs are wearing an Iron Cross second class on a proper ribbon bar with a Baden Merit medal. The third man, the Unteroffizier, he is wearing his Iron Cross second class on a crossed ribbon which could (but not have to) indicate that he was awarded both Iron Crosses. .
    13. Yes it is a second class, but the manner of wear (with the crossed ribbons) indicated at on time (in lieu of a proper EKI) an Iron Cross first class. .
    14. They seem all original WWII era Left to right: Hauptmann Luftwaffe (flying), Oberleutnant Artillerie, Oberleutnant Luftwaffe Nachrichten (Airforce Signals)
    15. Absender: E. Soosten, Signalist - Festungs-Fernsprech-Signal-Abteilung Metz d.F. 3
