Well, now that I see you have a bunch of Heer badges with the same reverse I have to say 100% that yours is a fake - a very good one, but a fake. May I use it in my upcoming Flak badge book? Marc

Here is a textbook FLL. Note the die-flaw on the 4th FULL leaf on the right - there is a dimple on the right of the leaf. Does your have this flaw?

Pat, I have not condemmed the badge! I would like to see the hinge and catch in an oblique. This is the FLL eagle and wreath, but FLL only made zinc badges, so that is troubling. They also did not have the cutout as this badge is done. I think the details is a little soft in comparison to what I expect in an FLL, but it might be wear. Is the metal pliable at all? Again, I would like to see the hinge/catch before anyone passes judgement. Regards, Marc PS - I never said I was an expert. No one is.
