    12. well you can tell the period from the award number! i heartly recommend buying echoes of war as this will give you a good idea of when peices are awarded!very nice red star to!! :beer:

    14. although i cant add anything to the descusion about the medal itself i can say my grandad(who sadly died 2 years ago) was 7 at the time of the easter rising and was on dollymount strand when it all kicked off and remembers the trams coming out of the city all shot up! actully later on during ww2 he worked for the goverment billiating(?) irish troops around ireland and help design and place the only german war graves site in ireland! was intresting to find that out!!
    15. which fair was it? the northstar or teachers club? were they being sold as original or repo?
    16. i think personly the most interesting part is he was commander of a hydroplane squadron in 1929!!!!! now THAT must be interesting!great research to!!
    17. after getting the citation to my uncles MC knowing what the medal you have was awarded for just brings it alive!! thats why soviet stuff is great!you can find out the history behind it!!! nice medal and citaction!all good!!

    19. aaacchh i know how you feel!! my near MINT junkers aux cruiser badge is as i said was near mint barr the fact that someone very VERY expertly die-nazified it!!you have to look hard to even see the naughty swastika was ever there!! and yup the catch had been slightly bent to!!! SWEET badge!!!
