    1. Very attractive designs, I too have never seen them. Good luck with finding the last one... Don
    2. Hi Joe, Sorry for my late reply, I had to wait until I had time to remove the double images in the thread caused by software updates & to look through my files to see if i had ever managed to obtain one of these pins.... Here after many years is my Aurich version, & as Matthew says there were indeed gold grades as shown my Mike's worn version at the top of the thread. Another one that I have yet to track down.... Don
    3. You are welcome, I am just sorry that it took me so long to go through my files for you.
    4. Hi, Sorry for taking so long to reply to this question, but I have many files to go through. I believe the badge is for one of the Marine Bunds, but I'm not totally sure which one. Here is a picture from my files showing the badge in question. Hope this helps a little Don
    5. Hi Rouflab, Welcome to the forum. Which ones do you mean, the Merten made pieces or the Paulman & Crone? Thanks Don
    6. Hi, I have seen this style pin plate used on badges made by Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen. Although usually they have their name incorporated into the design of the plate as well, see the example below.... Cheers Don
    7. Thought I'd reawaken this thread with this little piece that I recently come across, Kreisleitung Rostock, never seen one for this area before. Cheers Don
    8. Sorry for my late reply, I have not had much time over the holidays to get online. Some wonderful items you have & the information is very interesting, thank you. I believe that you wanted me to post my portrait photo here?
    9. Some nice pieces you have gathered. I'm looking forward to seeing more.... You may remember this old thread https://gmic.co.uk/topic/48301-reichsbund-deutscher-beamten/#entry446652 And here is my favourite piece... Cheers Don
    10. It's a new one on me I'm afraid. Hopefully someone else will have an answer. Don
    11. Also, for future reference, avoid badges with that shape pin retaining plate. That style was never used during the period....
    12. An interesting article, thank you for posting it. I'm sure that there are still many items hidden away that have been forgotten. I recently heard of a school that was doing renovations that found flags & other HJ/Studentbund items hidden for all these years. For info. The gold disc listed as "A medal belonging to the local office of the Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt" is actually a belt buckle. Cheers Don
    13. That's a disapointment, but it's better to know than to wonder. Thanks for updating us. Don
    14. Thank you for your replies. I really haven't kept up with how prices have moved beit up or down as I very rarely part with anything in my collection. When I decided to part with a few pieces that were no longer in my area of interest I was taken aback when I was offered a couple of thousand for my Cholm Shield that cost a similar amount to the HSF badge all those years ago & then that the HSF hadn't really changed. I guess that some items increase in interest & therefore value while others do not. Thank you again ? Don
    15. Sorry to bring up the subject of pricing, however 20 years ago I bought the badge shown below for 500 euro. As it has sat in a draw for since the day it arrived & is no longer in my area of interest I thought that I may as well find it a new home. On searching my usual "go to" dealers to try get an idea on current pricing I found that none of them had one in stock. So had to offer it blind & have been offered around 600e to 650e for the badge. Can someone please tell me if I over paid for the piece 20 years ago or has the prices not moved much in that time? Or am I being taken for a ride.... Thanks for any opinions Don
    16. I don't think that I've ever seen one without the mark. However from these pictures I can't see any immediate red flags.
    17. Indeed Chris, & even if images are printed out, a lot of the modern colour printing inks can fade & disappear after a number of years....
    18. Thanks Joe, even more so when you consider that it is a passport size picture so just over 2 inches high!
    19. Almost two years on from your question Robert & I have finally found one!!!
