    3. What Sascha says sound like a good theory. It would reinforce the theory that the stamps were there as part of a control system as opposed to advertising? I am betting though... given the relatively small % of LV crosses in the mass... that they did not have up to 88 small firms making for them?
    4. Hi, could they be batch numbers?
    5. Fantastic selection ! My only one is an unmarked one with an unmarked cross, a 1919 white ribbon award...

The seller was very accomadating and was nice enough not to go for the jugular... so it was not cheap... but I still have my underwear and food on the table ... lets say it was very fair :-) it is a veeeery illusive unit, but I may be getting some photocopies of the regt history, which should help me a bit...
    10. Sounds logical, there would be no need to have the Bekleidungs Amt on a letter.
    11. Magic, thanks, thats what I must have read.
    12. Maybe someone back then copied the Küst crosses one to one.... then Küst cried "copyright" and they could only be sold withouth the stamp? Sometimes there are simple commercial answers.... are the ones woth the name scratched out 100% the same as those with the name?
    13. You mix up phobe with fan ;-) Have always been a Ariphobe :-)

    16. what kind of shoulder straps would go best on this? Thanks Chris
    17. That is fantastic. Funny how the Internet has made many sections of the hobby more serious and knowledgable... I remember about 10 years ago having a Beamte tunic, knew nothing abouth them, a local friend says "are not combat troops, value about half of a comabt troops jacket..." and i sold it as such.....
    18. ... and you could keep her medal in your collection... just lend it to her for parades.... I think i will start a fan club...
    19. I'd marry her in a minute... An all rounder. Brave, clever enough to become a pilot, and a woman in uniform... seriously... what more can a guy ask for ?
    20. Need a bit of help... I remember reading that the bavarians did not use the "B.A. ..." stamps, but had a different way of marking.... Does anyone know what it was? Thanks Cris
