    2. There is no maker mark, Here are a piece of 1870 ribbon with the WW1 ribbon
    3. Here is a small out of the bag set... There is some soft paper in the blue envelope to wrap the cross, the brown paper had the ribbon wrapped in it, it was obviously not in the blue envelope.
    4. There is something about this little domed beuty that makes me feel romantic.... Does anyone have the same... and do they feel the same?
    5. I hate to question something I paid much loot for... but are these original?
    6. Ernst Neumann, serving as Oberleutnant in the 6th Company, 36th Pionier Gas Regt
    7. Here is a happy letter, "My darling wife, Guess who is wearing one of these..."

    9. Hoss! The sledge in that condition ! WOW! and the round condensation drum is superb!!! Can you put some snaps of the Ammo boxes on the ammo box thread? Really. really nice!
    10. Hi Mark, I think you are a few lengths ahead, I just have one 08 and a 08/15 If course, Hoss lives in a place where I think he can take his down to the range ? :-) What i am going to try today, is look at the Canadian Capture list, mine are all from canada so I know where the 08 was captured, the 08/15 I just know where it was sent after the war, My Sledge has AWS 928 stamped one side and 13 on the other. I assume AWS is maker 928 early gun number and 13 year of manufacture? Want to see if there was a gun 928 on the capture lists best Chris
    11. You cannot believe how astonished I was... just walking along a rut in the forest and seeing a white disk peeking out at me! It is from a swiss maker who moved to Germany quite some time befor ethe war..and the stamps on this one is what he used in germany

    13. Hi, in General Fuss Arty Regts were not divisional troops... I imagine the Official desigmation WAS Fussarty, but on their own postal stamp for whatever reason they had Mörser?
    14. Hi, the Mörser regt may have used the 20 I.D. post office, but was part of the X A.K. according to the adress. You often see post stamps of the closest unit independent units could deliver their mail to...
    15. Oooof... but that just goes to show, many people, especially outside of germany fail to realise that not the whole country was full of rich city dwellers... many simple soldiers were rather poor once they went back to work on the farm, in the factory.. Not everyone could afford a tailor made bar to wear once a year....
    16. Thanks guys, i hope to have time to get more up tonight, this is really one of the most neglected corners of our hobby
