    1. Hi, I would ignore the 89th, he was there waaaay before the war started. The 395th was part of the 9th Reserve Division, when the award was made they were in the same sector as the 17th Division, I guess maybe the regiment was seconded to the 17th for a short while and the award was made at that time. Nice little group with the tag!!
    2. It is an unusual item, and very germanically made. It must be european of some sort, just cannot figure out what...
    3. Hi, it is a drag strap. The loop of canvas (an ersatz material) is about 10cm wide. It may be a generic strap for MW and arty, LMW are not the only things that were dragged, and the hook is large for the drag rings on the LMW. It does fit, but not a perfect fit. I have seen LMW with larger rings where this WOULD fit perfectly. So, i am going with a Generic drag strap that could have been used on MW and Arty (Or ammo waggons?)
    4. "Would have missed out on the Adrian. Not that it would have helped as he was wounded in the leg." NOT if he had worn it on his knee!!
    5. Veeeeery nice... I have a Kepi like that being held in front of my nose... but the EUR700 is more than I can go at the moment...
    6. Yeah... then he will watch midget porn 23 hours a day and not even do the rolls!!!

    8. Honestly, if tzhis is a private award.... not a state one... that price is ridiculous. This would be great if you found it for 50EUR and THEN found out the history.... that would be a blast...
    9. Indeed! Was checking up a few things on items gathering dust and a question or two poppoed up ;-)
    10. veeeeeery easy to do.... there are a couple of cases like that in most junk shops...
