    5. I am guessing such a provenance letter does not exist... and even if it did... would it list the maker mark etc? :-)
    6. Hi, Although I have no doubt AH gave people gifts... what are the chances that he decides to give a female civilian Housekeeper a bunch of medals as a gift? A totally off the wall idea IMHO. One without precedent. Why not a tea set, or signed Photo? Plenty of Führer gifts out there... but so far no cases of having given his medals to someone for cleaning his toilet..... In the past we have seen signed letters confirming bits of his suspenders, Tie etc... My guess is.... either these are original AH pieces, but not given by AH, rather recuperated by the housekeeper who then justified having them by claiming they were gifted. or... Simply a bunch of pieces sexed up with some BS letters.
    7. Hi, I am guessing the EK ribbon was not usually meant for the Drillich, but Artillery Units seem to have worn a lot of Drillich during the war... maybe more than was initially planned for the Drillich. If it became a "standard dress" as opposed to just a "Fatigue duty" dress, maybe they began to wear the ribbon?
    8. Very nice, i love these. I have a WW1 era Eichhorn one, but without the saw. Does yours have the scabbard screw on the side or the front? Is there a maker mark? Best Chris
    9. Hi, from what I understand a WW1 or between the war Deumer. Best Chris
    10. Hi, I was not to sure of the rivets before it arrived, but they are period as far as i can see, the remains of the cloth liner cover them. I guess it was a cheaper version...
    11. Hi, can anyone guess the Maker here? Thanks Chris

    13. The Battalion became the 3rd Battalion of the Landsturm-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 48 in June 1918... so a small foothold...
