    2. Here are a couple of the documents by the firm Culemann in hannover
    3. The Printers had Blanks of certain docs that could be used for free text as well. Certain of these Blanks (originals) have been used (IMHO) to fake documents....
    4. 12.06.1901 Oberleutnant d. Landw. (Aschaffenburg) Interesting... could he be in the Bavarian ancestry?
    5. Looks a bit overboard.. as if he has added association pins to his jacket
    6. A commercial artist who did not serve in the war, his designs were used by the printers Reichhold and Lang in münchen to make award documents.....

    8. Hi, Gruhle was a medical student before the war and was with the Ski battalion basically from day one, did the whole Vogesen thing, then Tirol, then in December 1915 during the advance in Serbia he had stomache sickness and feet (I assume frostbite?) . By January 1916 he was in Münich and spent the rest of the war working in Hospitals becoming a Feldhilsarzt. Of course I would have liked Verdun in there somewhere,. but the veeery early stuff is nice as well ;-) Will look up the officer today when I get a moment.. need to find the card

    11. Hi, the different colors are for instructiors, crew chief etc. they are a qualification chest badge like a shooting badge.
    12. This page is veeeeeery ineresting...... http://www.anciens-du-ricm.org/20_cont/04-insignes/insignes.html
    13. They are a terrible design. The old one top right is based on a WW1 badge, the new ones on the marksmans/small arms badges (which are fugly)... The thing in the middle is supposed to be a base plate. It is being sold all over as a legion badge, but is not.
    14. Sorry, typo my part... top right we wore in the 90s as well as 70s and 80s... left side must all be new... ugly things....
    15. Top left is the old one... left side apparently new ones?
    16. Some 3rd Jäger... the 2 Blue militärpass joined in 1916...
    17. The EK was for the fighting at the beginning of 1915... I am tending towards the date on the doc being the date the doc was signed and there having been no record of the date when the actual award was made. I am working on this, so will have the answer soon i hope...
