    1. Last night's postings. I'm thinking "yeah, these are real"... "real bad"
    2. The "Air Raid" Sirens actually still rang in my home town in the early 1960's, but we were spared the "Duck & Cower" in the basement of the school like my Mom did. I like your CD Instructions, ours were very different though. It went something like this: Grasping both knees securely, firmly plant your lips on your arse and kiss it goodbye" Later in life, living within 1/2 mile of a First-Strike Target during the naughty "Evil Empire" Days, we instituted a new plan that consisted of a bottle of Bombay in a glassed-in cabinet on the wall. A small silver hammer hung down and the sign said: "In the event of Nuclear holocast, Break Glass". I cannot even begin to tell you how many "False Alarms" there were.......
    3. No Photo Stijn... ? if there are swords attached, then it's a "combat" award. Sans swords, peacetime. Often you can tell by "appearance", but weight is still the best way to determine. In gold, it is hollow and significantly lighter than a silver-gilt piece. No hallmarks on these that I have seen as of yet.
    4. Interesting group and documents. unresearchable would be my guess given the "occupation". Very nice Chuck
    5. Fascinating discussion and examples Gentlemen...... Ed, that must be some book coming!
    6. Yes........ they have spent a rather exhorbitant sum on utter rubbish. The really funny thing is.... you can sell fake badges for 3-7oo any day of the week on eBay. Think any one of them would be wise enough to pay the going rate of 1K+ for one real one? Nope, they can get to "real" ones on eBay for that every week............ hmmmmmmmmmmm.
    7. It's just to crappy a photo to be sure, so then we fall back on other observations and we end up in the "why bother" category! ;>)
    8. hey, where's Rasputin?? I liked the other avatar. Where else will you find Rasputin making an "L" on his forehead??
    9. Unbelievable: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEDW%3AIT&rd=1 Type 2 Halhingol, a few flakes out of the enamel, nice........... 225- Euro Unbelievable
    10. Here's a charming little fake with 4 holes so you can mount it right on your uniform! Such A Deal! Nice Crown mark in there.......
    11. Here's an outright fake zep badge by "Walter Schott/FEC." Rrrrrrrrrrright...........
    12. Of all the badges he has bid on, there's one zep badge that was a "maybe" and the seller refused to email me an actual photo of the mark before the close of the auction....... no details, I don't bid. Here's an example of the utter rubbish fantasy pieces he buys. This one was just under $700... must be nice to throw away money.......
    13. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Now it's up to you'se guys to figure out what's going on here!
    14. I'm sorry, I just cannot fathom how it is people spend their money on this stuff. I just don't get it. never have. never will.
    15. In my eyes, this looks like a very 'soft" strike, with not much detail and the wrong color of the medal itself. It looks more like copper than anything else.. That and the fact that the seller is rather notorious, the first ribbon is not sewn in like the commemorative piece. It just smells bad but thought it was an interesting example of your commemorative!
    16. Ahhhhhhh, our Foreign Friends. I forget... A "Jones" is an American Slang for addiction, or "Monkey on the back" that you just can't get rid of...... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah you got it bad! (Pardon my poor engleesh)
