    1. Collector's sometime neglect this Order....... here's a little something to spark some interest!
    2. My "spare" type 1 showed up today. it has a bruise in the blue, but man... compared to some of the website prices out there for damaged/repaired stuff. It was just too cheap to walk away from.
    3. Coo ltopic. Does anybody have any photographs of germans showing off any captured "trophies"?? (Rats, Bodies dead or alive and Heads don't count)
    4. Drat. Would be a good example for all to see. It's the earlier, intricate stamp.
    5. Hi Chris. Never heard that one. You'll frequently find WW1 groups with multiple WB's in different grades.
    6. Samarians. Every one of them. Evil shall befall them in due time. Patience is a virtue.... You guys in Germany have no idea how LUCKY you are. We cannot drive ANYWHERE and find a shop with these sort of treats available for casual perusal.
    7. I like the Meybauer pieces. Show us the seal!
    8. He has the special book for MMM. very hard to find. Harder still stamped for MVD!
    9. I'd like to thank everybody for what has turned into an extremely informative and interesting thread! Keep up the good work!
    10. 3 new ones (Type 2) listed today. There does not seem to be a shortage of these! ;>)
    11. Have you guys seen the prices on the first type?? Ouch! the odd thing is while I am sure they're pretty scarce, there's been at least 3 type 1's on eBay in the last 2 months. Now the later (??) type with the silver lettering in the blue enamel.... I've only seen one on a website and again. Ouch!
    12. Nobody has any real examples of these to share? Are they really that rare?
    13. Well, to start. The OPW2 looks like a cast hunk of lead on the back. I'm a novice, but I suspect everything now having been shown literally hundreds of fakes. I'm sure our more experienced members can give the point by point breakdown (please). I'll assume nobody likes them. But it would be helpful to get a blow-by-blow why they are bad! Thanks!
    14. Yep. If you were going to grab a "display" pice. I would even choose this one over the Rothe copies. Although the Rothe ones are nice when they have the ribbon and case.
    15. Almost forgot. Excellent little Group Mr. Danner. Anything mounted from Schwarzburg is very special! Nice matching ribbon bar!
    16. Oh yeah. There was a superb 4-place Frack in Germany last week with the 4th. Kl. Cross, no swords in last place. Had it on my "watch list" but he canceled the bids and closed the auction. it was memorable as the 3rd. place order had been stripped off. First Place was a NC EK2, next a Prussian Red Cross Third Class, blank and then the Schwarzburg cross. We suspect the missing piece was a Sax-Weimar White Falcon 1st. (!!!). I wonder where that bar disappeared to?
    17. I remember that one! Between Schwarzburg and Polizei 18 it was one very sweet bar! If I remember, I didn't even realize the Silesian Eagle was a 1.kl. Badge!
    18. You just have to love the vaseline on the camera lens... just blurry enough, eh?
    19. Whoa, too "new"? How about a Type 1 20 Years of The People & Peasants Army"?
