    1. Yep, be careful with the "Twin"... he can tell you what Manion sold in every single pre-internet auction catelogue...... date, price, etc. pretty scary. Chris, super bar, now root out the top one!!!
    2. Believe it or not, someone recently was selling pictures (only) of this cross and the attachments!
    3. Nice, clean issue cross. Can we see a better photo of the ribbon please?? Even with 1870's.. as opposed to 1914s... if it's loose on a ribbon as opposed to mounted for wear.... I am always skeptical.
    4. Lippe... sometimes there is no substitute. One of the hardest to find, one of the most beautiful one of the finest!
    5. Ask Fran?ois or Jaques for a couple of Spanish Cross maker marks... they both have CEJ marked pieces!
    6. Speaking of "undervalued Imperial Militaria"............ not many collectors know and/or appreciate the actual reality of how scarce these little gems really are!
    7. Sound advice. The only sure-fire investment is Real Estate anyway. They're not making any more! Undervalued?? I wish I had half of what has floated through my hands over the years..... I cannot think of anything that isn't at least 30% higher in "value".... I tell everyone who asks me to buy what they like. if it increases in value? Super, icing on the cake. If it doesn't, so what? you have what you like!
    8. Hi Chet, the address is correct.... it was always the badges themselves that were fake.
    9. I actually like the CEJ mark and the badge...... but that's my gut-call. What I'd like to see is more examples of the incused CEJ mark off some other 1920/30 Juncker products.
    10. I have many solutions to the world's problems..... however I have elected to tell no-one. Shangri-La we shall never see. It's all just part of me Evil Plan For World Domination....... one Imperial Flight Badge at a time.........
    11. ...... because sometimes, no matter how "wrong" the mounting is........... .... it's nothing but one man's statement of "fashion"
    12. ...... that's odd, the only investment I ever made has been to buy land on the EASTERN side of the San Andreas fault..... as soon as California sloughs off into the ocean, I'll be sitting on 2300 miles of PRIME beachfront real estate...... after I sell it all, I'm going to invest it in "Used Chewing Gum of The Rich & Famous"....... I will die a wealthy man...........
    13. "Yeah, I've got too many attributable groups...and also I collect Napoleonic swords. Kind of like balancing a crack addiction with crystal meth." You're killing me with this one!
    14. Fast work Biro, fast and interesting! Anybody else with Railway Badges we can get pix of the marks from please? Brian, I use mine to feed the dogs....
    15. Nah........ that's one of the sales pix from when you bought it! How freakin' anal am I that I can instantly locate those photos? Gawd, I need a vacation!
    16. The reverse.......... cute story with this one. The guy in Germany sells it on eBay. I missed the end of the auction. Buyer refuses it, claims it's fake. Guy drives to Hamburg and pays for a Detlev Niemann Inspection & Expertise. He then re-lists it on eBay with a "buy it now price"..... I just happened to be surfing there when it popped on. Auction was open for exactly 60 seconds. it was pretty easy to see it was the badge I missed before.... check out the repair.
    17. Yeah...... on the mark...... note that we keep seeing it on cups, forks, knives, plates, ehrenbechers...... but badges and medals?????? few and far between and not just Juncker guilty of not marking them. How many Imperial 800/935 EK's have we seen with NO crown, moon?? How many with?? Very much the exception, not the rule. I just sold a 935 silver gilt Prussian Navy Observer. Fine silver, period badge. NO maker marks, no content marks?? Also, I am very much leaning into the fact that Meybauer's actual war-time pieces are the ONLY 935 silver ones..... but no crown, no moon either. But marked in incused relief for 935...... perplexing, isn't it?
