    1. Rather than start a whole new thread, I'll add on.... I'm hoping this photo actually makes it through to me. We shall see, his feedback was pretty good. Now, why did I find this photo so interesting?
    2. Well that is some tale! This is the group you mentioned to me last week?
    3. I only own one Polish Cross for Valor/1939 to a Soviet. Recently saw a great group with photos of a Pole wearing both his Sov & Polish stuff. 2 really nice photos in the group.
    4. My twin uses the Epson as well, but a different model. I have the HP, but it's an "All in One" as I need FAX/copy from my home as well as scanning. Not real happy with scans, but I am trying to "tweak" it a bit. A superb and wonderful group. One to be treasured for sure!
    5. Those are great scans. May I ask how you are doing the reverses so clearly of the Red Stars? Thanks, Rick
    6. Story of my life... a day late, a dollar short. I remember when RR told me, "be smart Chuckie, buy Soviet NOW"........ but NO, I didn't need no steenkin' Soviet Commie Rat-Basset Stuff, did I?
    7. Hi Grant. Nice history. I have precious few things from my Great Uncles who fought in Afrika & Europe. But I treasure all of them. Nice family history!
    8. I honestly don't know.... cannot even remember where I lifted the photos. eBay, but might have been the UK one.... an awful lot of bad Soviet stuff in the UK for some reason. I just remember laughing when I saw the photo... none of the reverse offered, probably have safety pins on the back!
    9. Well, if it's a "made" bar it's one of the more creative ones we've seen in some time. I think it's more realistic that we have a WW1 soldier in some post 1935 diplomatic position. This isn't out of the realm of reality in entirety.... the only real issue I have is the Ehren Legion Medal. I'm sure my other half will weigh in soon. he has several other bars that look quite nice including a couple of scarcer Baden Medals.
    10. I'm sorry Daniel, but I cannot agree with your statement.... there's no shortage of original (OK, so maybe not that common, but out there) original Bavarian badges with FULL rayed backs, not with this big smooth spot in the center. In addition, there's also original Bavarian Pilot/Observer/Gunner badges that have a smooth back, with no rays.
    11. Hi David. It's interesting that other than the OR & Lenin, these all have individual books as opposed to the "running tally" we often see. Very nice & very impressive group. I don't think I've seen more than a handful of October Revolutions with booklets despite my hours on end of looking around! Congratulations!
    12. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...Y_BID_Stores_IT Absolute rubbish.... note the final price. Idiotic description, quality is NOT consistent with Godet workmanship.
    13. Not bad...... $800 & change for a cased award, 1 of about 500 awarded.... Not bad at all. About half what it's worth...
