    1. Sal... not the same seller. The ribbon bar lives in California with Chris H. I sold it to him. Nice example of how Bavaria sleighted the Beamter again though.
    2. And that's the facts, Jack. The presence of these 2 awards makes this combination impossible. If it had a W?rttemberg Friedrich RK1wX, it becomes a possible combination but then (IMO) the other factors come into play. -straight bottom Godet mount -non-typical Godet backing material -non-typical godet edge trimming of said backing material -no evidence W?rttemberg piece was removed/replaced Ulsterman wins 20% off any medal bar in my January Medal Bar Sales Thread! Steve K. & webr55 win a consolation prize of 10% off any medal bar in my January Medal Bar Sales Thread!
    3. I am happy to say that the incidence of this fellow's fake bars has declined, but here's a couple more that popped up last night. Very bad colonial bar
    4. Listen, if you guys can't figure this out soon, Rick Research is going to step in and embarass all of us a second time! (said in my BEST Monty Python Frainch-type accent)
    5. Let me interject. I believe every individual piece on the bar to be authentic. But the bar is not. Why?
    6. OK, now if Steve K. & webr55 were to get together to have tea, what would they discuss about their 2 points?
    7. Rusty! The Order of The Partisan is gorgeous. I saw one almost identical (if not the same) on eBay.... but had no clue what it was and could not find a photo that matched it anywhere. Thanks, now I know what the heck it was. I think Rick said Yugoslavian, but not exactly what. Cool.
    8. oooooooooooo Steve K. is warm, very warm........ almost making me sweat! But Why? What else combines with the Friedrich Order RK2wX that makes this an impossible combination? Why is the combination impossible? Yes, there are other issues here: Two pins? hmmmmm Neithor looks like a Godet pin? hmmmm PINKY-red backing cloth on a Godet bar? really? Straight bottom ribbons mounted by Godet?? Show me more? These issues are all important, but not outside the realm of reality.... The KEY is the WFORK2wX and one other award.......... which one? Why? Since the mounting looks flawless and there's absolutely no indication that anything has been altered and/or changed since this bar was made (but when was it made? 1935? 2000?) we have to assume the bar was made this way with one glaringly important error! Now, don't feel bad.... it's so simple even I missed it at first...... No more clues tonight!
    9. Which places it ??????????? The timeline on these and others never seems to really match up with the serial numbers to specific eras!
    10. Hi Jerry. Very nice crosses, especially so many cased/boxed WW2 EK2's. very hard to find, especially in this condition! Congratulations!
    11. Nope, that's an Officer Bar....... the different states is not the issue..
    12. Bavarian Bar is probably real.......... The second bar with the Godet Label is NOT!! Who can tell me why??? No, and I don't care what certain people on certain other forums are saying. The Godet Bar is not possible.......... Who can tell me Why?? Rick Research is recused from responding for 24 hours..... Now, tell me why it's bad???
    13. Yes, a good man and the price is fair for the badge in this condition!
    14. Yes, I agree there's a market for the repros. But the cheap $200 ones should be "good-enough"... S&L makes passable ones for this still. There's a guy in the UK that will make them in precious metals, varying prices... Even the Rothe fakes if mint and in the case (I always loved those JGuS marked PLM's in Austrian "coffin cases") ;>) The best Rothe fakes have brought 1-1.2K USD even when sold as copies..... but the quality of them is beyond the common eBay fakes. Bottom line, this isn't that hard if you really study the 3 WW1 variants. I have never seen a single attempt to fake a pre-1913 cross...... not saying it hasn't been done, just saying I have not seen them offered via the usual outlets on-line in the past 8-10 years.
    15. I've actually been allowed to fondle this one and I can assure you that it is a most-impressive bar. However, the most interesting aspect of this group is that it was sold as a set, split up and then re-united many years after the fact by the due dilligence of Mr. Research and his "scrounger". I don't remember how many years they were apart, but I am very proud to have assisted in re-uniting one of the most impressive pair of bars I have seen. The early (Pre-1913) MVO/MVK series on the statute ribbon is extremely hard to find in any condition/combination or mounted. It falls well within the bounds of "obscure".
    16. Hi Jan, can you tell what the number is?? Thanks!
    17. Yep! STILL one of the finest aviation groups I've ever seen! Who knew such treasures could still be found and I commend you keeping it together. In fact, I recommend having it set in Pure leaded crystal and donated to the Smithsonian so that it never gets broken up! But hey, people think I'm weird anyway.
    18. Ahhhh, my son, the path to Enlightenment & Nirvana is not an easy one to tread....... and crossing that bridge to get to this cozy little beach is an absolutely-freakin'-horrific nightmare...... Hence the vicious rumor that Der Zigarrmann can only be seen traveling in the wee hours of the morning! ;>)
    19. Mongolian Honorary Labor Medal.......... but, is it 3596? Or 5596? Type 1 !!
    20. Hi Jan, thanks for your endless labours on this. Do you know Kari Virkkala? He is maintaining a database of award numbers as well.
