    1. It also begs the question how on earth does he wear a bar like that without having them mounted such as each medal over lapping a bit. I had problems extending the arm with just five ! This looked bad enough I could have a '3' on the Former Yugo NATO medal, but never bothered in all honesty, the times I wore these you could count on one hand. Kr Marcus
    2. I appreciate this group a I served at the same time and we have basicaly the same medals give or take one or two. It's a weird conception for me that collectors today, collect these ! My modern junk is another mans joy..strange I was attached to 7th Armoured also in the 1990/91 Gulf episode also being a Corps. We all mostly were, I don't know what you know about this guy but the RCT changed in around '93 to the RLC, Royal Logistic Corps, this made some unhappy soldiers at the time various Corps being associated with each other under one cap badge. He was then badged AGC a new formation again, this would be as of the subsequent changes in and around '93 or so also, in the RCT his role I would have expected to have been that of a AGC capacity of some sorts (maybe a clerk or the likes), these guys wore the Regiment or Corps badge and beret they were attached to at the time. He's not been out that long to get the Jubilee medal, very tarnished looking medals for two to three years. A nice group and testament to a career. Kr Marcus
    3. To be honest I don't really know Jacques....as a guess only of course mid or perhaps earlierish ???? It dosen't rescrible to a latter box as such as my thoughts go. Just because this is different though, the time frame could be parallel to several of your wartime version's.
    4. Oh I agree 101% David, the same goes for the East German award packageing, small cardboard boxes and cases with fittings very similar to their wartime counterparts have and are being used. We'll see the subsequent pictures if available, but I must confess I think your along the lines of my intial thoughts, the size and proportions to the awards and the base covering make me think it's intentional use was not for these. Kr Marcus
    5. I've never seen the likes before ! If original it's a private purchase case of course and not issue as you well know. Can I see close up pictures of the hinges on the front of the case, the top half and bottom. Was the recipient killed and indeed and officer also ? I'd like to see pictures of the reverse hinges/hinge and the border thread around the base. If possible can you take a photo of the liner in the lid, ad a shot of the base without the awards in too. Odd that the base covering is crumpled up, has the base been taken out of the box frame ? Something like this is hard to assess, thats probably why no one responded. Kr Marcus
    6. Hi Kurt, Can you extrude the base all the way out, don't do this if not you're comfortable with it or force it. Could I see a picture of the catch from the front on the level with lid open so I can see the 'head of the catch straight on. Kr Marcus
    7. I've a few more John, I'll have to find the pic's later.
    8. A late war LGAB lives in here, nothing special
    9. If you've got some more pic's of the PO on post 53 I think it was I'll take a look. No cardboard boxes yet in here, here's a crappy zincer or the unknown maker in box, I've the airgunner too.
    10. Ralph's got a generic maker marked packet, the earlyish sort devoid of any desigantion like used on the Flowers War medals. I love these little medals, they're often over looked because they're abundant....but I have a true soft spot for them. I've even two marked CEJ now. Boxed Rick !! And I've more too Need the larger combo case for EK & HC

No no you need a blue one, not green Sal Yours would not be correct in a mid onwards Ldo box. Kr Marcus
    20. More than likely an E series, not an early one because this isn't the early style canopy but the later type, the E series had both though. Kr Marcus
