    1. Thanks Rick for giving the bar his name back, You made my day It´s my first WW I medal bar from my federal state Schleswig - Holstein with a name. The Jäger - Bataillon Nr. 9 came from Ratzeburg. Thanks Andy for adding his life date Regards Andreas
    2. Hello Rick, I had contact to Albert Raff, who has published some very good books about Württembergische Medaillen. He has been in archives and he told me, that the lists for Karl - Olga - Medaillen don´t exist. There are only lists for the Karl - Olga - Orden. From the bronze Karl - Olga - Medaille were 603 ordered. I don´t know how many from these 603 were awarded. Regards Andreas

    5. Thank´s for trying Rick Yesterday evening I called up the former owner of the medal bar. Just in that moment he was on the way to vacation, so the conversation was quite short. The result was, that he believed to remember that the name was Müller. The bar came straight out from the family and nothing was changed. Later the guy should have been a Hauptmann maybe E at the TR Luftwaffe. I´ll get further when his back from his vacation, and then I´ll post them asap. Regards Andreas
    6. Hello Gentlemen, I got this medal bar about 15 years ago, and I thought it could not be traceable. While surfing trough old posts I was astonished, which knowledge and enthusiam is here around. So now I´ll try my luck. I belief this medal bar belongs to an Lt or Olt. It contains: Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 Baden Zähringer Löwe 2nd Class with swords Sächsische Herzogtümer silbernes Verdienstkreuz with Swords

    11. Mini chain reverse As You certainly have noticed, there is a difference between the bar and the chain. Bronze Karl - Olga - Medaille at the bar and a silver one on the chain. The trio came directly from private with the name Haußer. But I don´t know, if the name is right as I don´t have any lists to check the name. I don´t even know if this list exist. Enjoy Andreas
    12. Hello Gentlemen, before a year, I got this nice trio: Württemberg Charlottenkreuz Württemberg bronzene Karl - Olga - Medaille Bayern Verdienstkreuz für freiwillige Krankenpflege mit Spange 1914 Preußen Rote Kreuz Medaille 3. Klasse 3rd Reich additional fixed Ehrenkreuz für Kriegsteilnehmer
    13. Thanks a lot for trying , but I don´t think that it´s a Frankenstein nor a fake. I´ve checked the chain and You can see that it´s grown with the time for example the EK 14, DAK and Centenarmedaille are mounted with loops in a different material. I known that it´s difficult with mini chains, and sometimes the merchant from minis mounted what he had in his inventory. This weekend I´ll post such an group. Kind regards Andreas
    14. Hello, my italian is not so good, that I´m sure if I have understood the content right. My understanding from this text is, that there are only mentioned the italian contingents, those who could be awarded this medal ? If it is like that, could it be, that the difference could be awards to foreign troops ? Regards Andreas
    15. Hello Rick, the SA3bX IMO was founded 1876, by then, there only existed one Ritterkreuz. The 1872 Rangliste shows only a Ritterkreuz SA 3 which looked like later the SA 3a. I think the old mini was lost and they hadn´t an old model to replace
    16. Hi, as Rick recommended, I try to bring up this mini chain. May be it is now possible to identify his former owner ?! Kind regards Andreas
