    13. Blimey Dave, where do you find them??? Have you got a militaria tree or fairygoddealer??? Allan
    14. Look at the amount of staining to the white satin in the top of the case, and the red ribbon. The red ribbon hasn't any discolouration at all. I'm pretty sure that the press button and catch are modern too. Just my opinion. Allan

    20. Well spotted Dave, the one in the middle, in the RK type case. Allan
    21. Notice the way that the ribbon is attched to the inside of the top of the cases mentioned. Allan
    22. Heres are some examples of cased EK11. Three cases at the front are similer to the case being dicussed here, the main difference being the way the ribbon is attached to the inside of the lid. My personal opinion is that as these were private purchase cases, retailers during the Third Reich period would have used up old stock left over from WW1 and produced between the wars before anything else, hence the fact that a WW1 EK11 may very well fit more snuggly than a WW11 EK11. Allan
    23. Looks like a nice one. Is that a mm I see in the ribbon loop? Allan
    24. Here are two cousins that I have just added to my collection. Allan
    25. I agree, 88 firms is a realistic figure. Ever thought who provided firms like say Deumer, who advertised RK in their catalogue (but didn't make them?) with RK? Did all firms make every award and badge produced during the third Reich period, or just manufactered a certain number and sourced, subcontracted out for the rest? Allan
