    1. I thought I would add the missing Gau Baden badges to this thread. Firstly, Gold and silver for membership since 1923 and 1927. Stan
    2. A gorgeous badge and in my opinion, the nicest one to have. However, I could never bring myself to upgrade the "G.B." mm'd badge I bought for ?1.10s.0d in 1967! Stan
    3. Awesome badges Stan
    4. The point you are making here is VERY significant. Both the flat-chested and barrel-chester Junckers pieces display this feature which, to my knowledge, is not evident on badges made by any other manufacturer. Stan
    5. Monsun, That is very interesting information indeed! I had become very sceptical of these badges so this is very important evidence that they did indeed exist pre-1945. Stan
    6. This another numbered badge which I purchased many years ago from Forman. The pin is magnetic. Comments welcome. Stan
    7. Alex, These Orders were produced by Wilhem Deumer and a small number exist which were not awarded to individuals. The example I have was at one time cased but the case was damaged and discarded by a previous owner. Stan
    8. The Neck Order shown was auctioned by Andreas Thies in December 2004 and had a reserve price of ?25,000 + 23% commission etc. His list of realised prices showed that it was sold for ?20,000 which I presume was a typo. It has a lead seal from Lothar Hartung who examined the piece in 1988. I am fairly certain that this was an original example. Warlord recently was selling another piece through Stirnpanzer for ?32,000. I have exampined this piece and it is 100% original in my opinion and is identical to the one in my own collection which has been examined by many experts from around the world. Stan
    9. Joe, Chris is quite correct. The badge came from Adrian Forman and the lead seal simply states "FORMAN GUARANTEE". It does not detract so I leave it on. Regards, Stan
    10. Here's a badge I bought a couple of years ago to upgrade another 50 RK GAB I had in my collection. The pin is magnetic. Comments welcome. Stan
    11. Here is an item which I picked up some time ago from an old German Collection. It was awarded to Alois Huedopisk on 21.12.1942. Huedopisk was born in Graz/Austria and was Unteroffizier Geschuetzfuehrer 2nd Battery, Flak-Regiment 38. This item is also shown on p2470 of Joerg Nimmergut's book "Deutscher Orden und Ehrenzeichen" vol. IV. Stan
    12. Dave, You're quite right about the link not working but it is still the correct address so type it in as usual. Stan
    13. I purchased this goblet many years ago and it looks great on the shelf in my study. I recently heard of a website which identifies German Hallmarks and have discovered that my goblet was made by the company Brueckmann & Soehne, Heilbronn. The website is http://www.925-1000/.com I don't know whether this is old information or not but I am sharing it just in case. Stan
    14. Here's my Legion Condor Panzer Badge, Portugese manufacture. I've posted it previously on GMIC. The pin is obviously a replacement, the catch is probably original but crudely repaired with solder. Stan
    15. I have been asked to post photos of these two badges. First the Prussian Marine Air Gunner's Badge: Stan
    16. This is the reverse which is screwback. This badge is said to have belonged to Gauleiter Loeper. Stan
    17. This is a badge which is often encountered in Silver, sometimes in Gold but very rarely in Bronze. I would have thought that the Bronze version was the most common. Can anyone explain why? Stan
    18. Dan, The badges without the RZM mark are pre-1933 according to Weitze. I presume this applies to all RZM-marked badges. Stan
    19. The Frontbann badge is one of my favourite Political awards. Here is my example which is mm'd "RZM 63". Does anyone else have this badge with other markings? I have see RZM 21 and Z.M.OST in books but it would be nice to have pictures posted on this thread of the various types found in collections. Stan
    20. By the way, the above OLS are also shown in Bowen's book "The Prussian and German Iron Cross" p388. Here is another RK + Oaks. The Cross is S & L. Stan
    21. Note recipient's scratched name "HERR" on bottom arm of cross. Stan
    22. Herewith Juncker RK which was awarded to General der Panzertruppe Traugott Herr in 1941. OLS added December 1944. Ex-Dodkin collection. Stan
