    1. OK sorry for making you all wait here is my question. Who am I? 1. I finished law studies at Jagiellonian University 2. I lived in Paris from 1931 to 1938 two very small hints to start off with, if there is trouble more will follow Ivan
    2. I think the man in the picture is Milan Nedić a General in the Yugoslav army and Prime Minister of the "Government of National Salvation" during WWII Ivan
    3. From what I know Ohrimenko was pronounced a National Hero of Yugoslavia on the 21st of June in 1945, so that atleast seems fake to me..... Ivan
    4. Officially the Order of National hero was the first in the Yugoslav order of precedence until 1955 when it was placed in 3rd place after the Order of the Yugoslav Grand Star (1st) and the Order of Freedom (2nd) Ivan
    5. Dear Kevin In my opinion it was one of the most beautiful single class awards of WWI The leaves attached for multple awards are an even more wonderful work of art Ivan
    6. This is the Czechoslovak War Cross from WWI, it was established November 7th 1918 and was awarded for acts of military valour (retroactively). Ivan
    7. Here is the Order of Liberation 2nd Class, given to my Grandfather. I believe it was awarded by the republican government in exile
    8. Dear Christian Nope there were no such consecutive awards in Yugoslavia, he also recieved the 2nd class of the award but thats by pure coincedense. I only found the 2nd class recently and I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but when I do I will post it. It's quite old he got it before 1953. Ivan
    9. Here's 1st class awarded to my Grandfather, one of only 342 given to Yugoslav nationals Another interesting fact is that the first class was awarded 1423 times alltogether while the fifth class was awarded only 769 times..... Ivan
    10. Yes thats him. Here's a photo of him during his days as a Partisan, he was a Polit-Commisar during WWII, with General Veljko Kovacevic who also fought in spain. Btw. My Grandfather is the one on the left. Oh and if anyone's interested here is a whole list of his awards: Order of the Yugoslav Flag 1st class Order of the Republic 1st class Order of Brotherhood and Unity 1st class Order of Bravery Order of Merit for the People 1st and 2nd class Order of the Partisan Star 1st class Partisan Spomenica He also received the following foreign awards: Order of St. Sylvester 1st class (Vatican) Order of Merit for the Republic 1st class (Italy) Order of the Southern Cross 1st class (Brazil) Order of Liberation 2nd class (Spain, republican government in exile) Ivan

    14. I've been quite busy lately and I'm sorry for not saying anything. Also I have a great lack of inspiration at the moment an it would be a great relief if somebody would post a question instead of me. Ivan
    15. The only book that I have ever seen that I consider good when it comes to yugoslav communist awards is a book by a man named Stojan Rude? called "Odlikovanja Socijalističke Federativne Republike Jugoslavije". It was published in Belgrade in 1987 by "Slu?beni List" Ivan
    16. I've read up on this Voja Radic, it seems he was a metal worker before the war and an MP after his awards not including the national here include : Brotherhood and Unity 1st cl. 2 Orders of Bravery Partisan Star 2nd cl. Merit fo the People 2nd cl. Order of the GPW 1st cl. (USSR)
    17. Correct Christian he was one of the first 16 people to obtain the partisan star 1st class, and you are also correct that later he got a second one. I think that his awards are still in the possesion of his wife who lives in Belgrade, I've been thinking about contacting here just to see all his decoration's and there are many...
    18. Nope not the national liberation good guess though if I didn't know the answer it would be the one I would have guessed but it's not the correct answer, think about it he had the rank of lieutenant general at the time so in my mind the next try should be the correct one
    19. Yes Christian it is one of those four awards, the decree was issued on the 7th of December 1944. and also bravo to Voja
