I have now been told he is actually an Oberfeldpolizeidirektor (Oberstleutnant) in the GFP, the Luftwaffe secret field police. I am still no closer to identifying him though. Larry

Hi, This is my first post here. I am looking to identify the officer in this photo. A caption under the photo looks to read: "Oberkriegsgerichtsrat D. Schleich." Exhaustive searches of the net have failed to turn up ant Schleich who held the rank of Oberkriegsgerichtsrat. He wears the Order of the Crown of Romaina, Commander Cross which I believe only 150 were awarded. Can anyone help identify this man or supply links to information that may help in my search.
