    1. Very interesting grouping, the design of the russian award is beautiful!!
    2. Here´s mine, once belonging to a veteran of the 1866 war fighting with the Austrians against Prussia and then fighting with Prussia and all the other German states against France in 1870/71.
    3. Hello! Most of the documents came with other accompanying documents like their Militärpaß or Wehrpaß, so I was able to compile those information given above.
    4. My newest addition: Rudolf Probst was born in 1889, fulfilled his military service with an artillery unit from 1907 to 1910 and served in WWI from 1914 to 1918. His last rank was Feuerwerker (ordnance nco). His only other award was the Militär-Jubiläumskreuz in 1908. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milit%C3%A4r-Jubil%C3%A4umskreuz http://www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk/JK1908.htm
    5. @ redeagleorder Your non-combatant bar is just great! I like the combination of the König Ludwig Kreuz and the Verdienstkreuz für Kriegshilfe!
    6. If there´s no Volkssturm Soldbuch out there, does anybody have an award document to a Volkssturm soldier?!?!
    7. Thank you for your kind replies! Any other theories about this combination are welcome!
    8. Yes, you´re right, I forgot about that! I just "guestimated" the navy connection.
    9. Unfortunately not. I just got this medalbar. My theory about the holder is: Hamburg citizen, serving with the navy (hence the prussian long service award) onboard a ship which was somehow connected to the kingdom of Württemberg.
    10. I just love the Hanseatenkreuz. In my opinion it´s one of nicest WWI awards also bestowed to EM & NCOs. Unfortunately I don´t have a better camera at hand.
    11. This nice medalbar belonging to a NCO consists of an Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse, Hamburger Hanseatenkreuz, Württembergische Silberne Militärverdienstmedaille, Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer and the Dienstauszeichnung III. Klasse.
    12. Very interesting topic! I find it rather surprising, that he received an EK2 but not an Austrian equivalent.
    13. Yes, I know, that´s why I mentioned that he was quite a good fighter pilot!
    14. Here´s my Kyffhäuserbund medal document. Please have a look for the whole lo here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/56660-huge-document-lot-of-a-police-officer-from-boxer-rebellion-to-wwii/
    15. Here´s one of my Ungarische Kriegserinnerungsmedaille. Awarded to a navy NCO who served in an airship unit. And a Bulgarische Kriegserinnerungsmedaille.
    16. The swords were only authorized in late 1933. So maybe they used up the older documents. I saw one were the words "Mit Schwertern" were stamped onto old documents.
