    1. Glad it is still mostly together, do you know if the missing bits are lost or in another collection? Jock
    2. I will have another poke around on my next visit but if he got it copied post war it rather implies he lost the original, you never know though as I often find photo stat copies of deaths, marrage , births certificates etc but the original is there as well?
    3. Thats interesting as I know the Celle museum has a Pokal and WP to a 262 pilot on display, problem is it is in a very heavy glass cube display case. I will try and get it out and copied for reference.
    4. Humberto, I have no idea but user 'hucks216' may be able to help as he know quite a bit about signatures. He runs a database on here of wartime signatures, perhaps Kumm is there and that might start as a comparison? Jock
    5. Eric, The bottle on post 41 is a good looking piece of kit what with webbing straps and all, if it had no date you would think perhaps WW2 issue, seems ahead of its time. Jock
    6. Kevin, Do you have the rest from these airmen or is it just these docs? Be nice to see any other bits of paper if you have them. Cheers Jock
    7. Tony, So it would seem they have already been blue at some point. Jock
    8. Bernhard, Thanks for the detail, yes, I should have looked at the 'Herrn' at the very top of the address, which I probably did at the beginning then noticed the Fr, is it a sign of the onset of 'old age' LOL? Cheers. Jock
    9. Guys, A promotion doc for a rail worker. Sadly denazified at the top but not too well. Edit, not a man a woman, I should have read it properly! Jock
    10. Guys, A single letter announcing a change of job for some bloke moving to take over a radio station in Danzig, this is a 1950 photo stat I think judging by the stamp. Perhaps he needed a copy for his CV post war? Jock
    11. Provisional ID for a munitions worker, I think? Interesting letter head? Jock
    12. Guys, A pile of boxes still tied with the period string. Obviously unused. Jock
    13. Guys, Went back for the police jackets and he threw in these two others from the same bloke. his rain jacket I presume private purchase. Jock
    14. Bernhard, Thats what I thought but the lable is perhaps more readable to you, the bloke also said it was something to do with Jaeger based on the lable so that kind of threw me, there are some more pics in the ID forum, perhaps your eye is sharper being a native and all! Thanks Jock
    15. I have seen photos of this before Chris, in ww2/Reichswehr reference. A protective over jacket affair used often on ranges and weapon handling to protect the normal jacket? I may even have a picture somewhere but don't hold your breath. The distinguished looking bloke with the bino's and shooting lanyard, possibly an instructor? Jock
    16. Guys, I have posted a what looks to me Naval hat although I see the word Jager on the paper lable in the Valuation/ID forum. If anyone has an idea of what it is, I would be keen to know! I will only post the one picture as I don't want to waste storage space. Thanks in advance. Jock
    17. Chris, I notice the price tag at the bottom, are these a civilain item or issue? Were the soldiers expected to private purchase or were they procured from the civies to be pressed into service? Jock
    18. Using the dismounted microscope you can see a very small A1 stamp, it looks like it was punched with two separate stamps. Jock
    19. Guys, This eagle looks weird, perhaps it the droop tail being as long as the wing? Certainly looks angry! It is a good one, I don't think they are doing these yet from scratch. I like the markings and I have just discovered I can use the USB microscope thing in the dismounted role (see pics)! Jock
    20. Gordon, Thanks for the extra detail, that is a nice looking arm patch on yours too, mine is almost 3d in appearance as the eagle stands out from the background yours looks similar, very well made! If the appointmen/term is no longer used when would the jacket date from in your opinion, 70s 80s? Cheers jock
