    1. Guys, Don't know where to post this so if needs to go please move it on. I thought it was quite cool and I think it predates TR? It is made in the Hannover area, shame it didn't have a mini KM tally. I don't think this would not have been cheap to make in its day as it is very well made
    2. Guys, Weather is terrible today despite that there were a couple of bits and bobs to be found, this book which is a first for me but looks like it would be common enough. It is according to the inside cover a Yearbook of Germanys Sea interests? It has pictures and tables etc, Scapa Flow features big in this year book.
    3. Guys, Sadly the only find today, a cased set of binos as marked above. The case unfortunately is missing its closure and shoulder strap, you can't win them all! On the plus side the glass has it's bakelite cover and button hole attachment intact with the neck strap! I have tried to capture the graticule pattern but it is not playing, thats just me and cameras though. The glass is very good I can't believe these are approaching 100 years in age.
    4. Guys, I have been sitting it out to see where it goes. On the drum I will keep an open mind even though I now know where it comes from, Blunderbus do have a long time reputation, I remember them from the 'Exchange & Mart' in the 80's. Tony makes some interesting points and seems to know what he is on about but when I view his profile to lend weight to his comments there are only 5 posts since 2011 to date and 1 of those is his comment here, that makes me wonder why you have chosen now this year to participate? Tony see picture of old string from the skip last month, there are a surprising amount of sources of old and aged material out there today. My issue is about the very fabric of what these fora are, are we a community that looks out for each other and says what needs to be said or are we all PC and it is just a big marketing tool? I am sure if the drum is purchased it will follow the same path as the Tampinions and the Nazi Eagles?! (see attached pictures)! Kevin, the book ends could be from any number of countries yet you have them listed the TR other section with barely a sentence for £300 good luck to you but I would not want see some collector stung to that tune for €50-60 deco item. Same deal with the bronze stuff? It would be ok if this were a one off but many more examples of your MO can be posted Kevin and I hope you loose more money than you make as the collectors will be better off. I know though you are probably doing just fine selecting which site to manipulate next.
    5. Kris, That has come up a treat! I am very sruprised it has not taken the paint off. What does the tin of 'evapo rust' look like? Cheers.
    6. Mervyn, I think I will give it a spray of WD40 and add it to the 'to do' list. It was a freeby anyway. Cheers.
    7. Guys, I have done the Jüterbog 'rag' since I have been able to remove the paperclip the other I will look at to see how best to do it.
    8. Guys, Couple of little bits today, condition not good but couple of € is ok, less than a beer! Tin is missing tools and the heater obviously missing its top cover.
    9. Guys, Also from the week end, complete with all of its tables at the back page.
    10. Guys, Last bits from the week end. You often find these sort of localy produced booklet affairs. They tend to have lists of course members and poke fun at the course personalities or DS.
    11. Guys, This is I think a charge container of sorts. I have similar made out of cardboard. Used to transport propelant charges for artillery guns? Thats my guess anyway. The lady selling it thought it was a breakfast container until I pointed out the markings. The maker is 'ewr 42', that is Gustav Fisher, Metallwarenfabrik, Zoebutz i Erzgeb?
    12. There was another but I left it, I figured enough with the bugles. At least it is different for a change.
    13. Guys, Also today, its in good condition, I will do some better pics of the reverse tomorrow as the flash is too bright!
    14. Guys, Not a lot out there today but this was reasonably priced, just post war sadly. Looks like 'Boosey & Hawkes Ltd', Makers London, 1946.
    15. Guys, As stated a bit ugly looking thing but like I say not much out there today.
    16. Guys, Not much about today so took this.
    17. Guys, Quite a bit of info there with the evolution of the unit etc. Fairly mundane spares request for urgent supply of carbourettas for boat motors I presume. RB nr for the factory. All requested a bit late in the game! What are your thoughts on 'pheonix'?
    18. Guys, Not my bag but I have never seen a naval battle dress style jacket before, I have had a search on line and see they are out there so not as unusual as I thought. It is missing a button or two though!
    19. Guys, Have had a spot of luck today, I was missing this edition. It lists the criteria etc and the little pink lables are ammendments I think that are listed in later editions, this is the start though with the relaunch of the EK. A new contact into the bargain!
