    7. Small but nice. This is a small ribbon from the Dutch bravery award the Bronze Cross and the British Royal Victorian Order. I received this from a close friend from the Dutch Veteran who use to wear this. The name of the veteran is Jacobus ( Jack ) Gerardus Brouwer. Jack was a resistance fighter during wwII, fought in the Dutch east Indies and did also a lot for the relationship between Holland, Germany and Great Britain. He died in 2005, just a few months after I met him on Nederweert cemetery. Col. Georgie Dee, Reverend Glynn Williams and Jack Brouwer in front of the grave of Henry Eric Harden VC Royal Army Medical Corps I will try to post a list of his awards latere on.
    8. Found this scan in my archive. If I remember correctly these are suppossed to be from Goering. Now in a private British collection.
    9. A German veteran gave me this book after a memorial service I helped organize. I can read German but I am having troubles with his handwriting. Can anyone help me? I took at my name and the name of the veteran.....
    10. A few months ago I was in Shrewsbury as a guest off the Light Infantry. I talked to a lot of veterans there. I wasn't able to remember all of there names. One of them was a DSO, MBE winner who served as an officer in the 17th Dogra ( Jogra ? ) regiment in the Dutch East Indies. After the war he served in the KSLI. He also told me about on of his forefathers. A Vice Admiral in the Royal Navy, Who could this man be? I believe his name sounded like Delmee Murray. This is what he wrote in a book for me:
    11. There weren't that many Orders available in those days....
    12. The last person is very heard to find. Does anyone know what his rank / status is ?
    13. Didn't he receive a Dutch Knight Order?
    14. Thanks Mike, your right. So know only this man remains. I have searched the newspapers archives for hours without a result!
    15. Hi Mike, I think that it is indeed the Grandofficer star from the Belgian Order of the Crown. http://users.skynet.be/hendrik/ Commandeur en groot-officier translates as Commander and Grandofficer but mistakes in the grades of higher foreign awards are often made in old dutch newspapers.
    16. Found Mister G. General Tonnet. Al the awards match. Only he has a 4th class in the Order of the Lion and the Sun. But that could be a mistake. He also has a Belgium Grandcross. Order of the Crown.
    17. Thanks Mike, that's great. I will see if I can find a match in the newspaper archives!
    18. Thanks for the info. I have seen the Cross with GD inside ? worn by person 1 before. But I can't remember where.
    19. Your Right about the Lion and the Sun Jacky, the first person ( B ) is also wearing this decoration. Are you sure about the Order of the Sword from Sweden? The Grandcross doesn't look te same .... Any ideas about the unknown neckdecoration from person B?
    20. Thank you Eric, I am amazed by the information you are able to find time and time again! Thanks. You must have a large library 2 to go! 21. What kind of foreign awards are Hoogenhuyze and Froger wearing? Froger: Legion d'Honneur ? Hoogenhuyze: Italian order ? Austrian Red Cross ?
    22. Eric, in the newspaper archives these persons are often named together: Luitenant-Kolonel W. Froger, Majoor J.A.G. van Andel and Kapitein Baron van Ittersum Could this be the missing Kapitein ?
    23. Not the Balkan war but something I just ran in to. Maybe nice to get your interesting topic back in the list. Het vaderland 6 februari 1941 Avondblad C http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs512&d=07071&f=ambulance.jpg
