Small but nice. This is a small ribbon from the Dutch bravery award the Bronze Cross and the British Royal Victorian Order. I received this from a close friend from the Dutch Veteran who use to wear this. The name of the veteran is Jacobus ( Jack ) Gerardus Brouwer. Jack was a resistance fighter during wwII, fought in the Dutch east Indies and did also a lot for the relationship between Holland, Germany and Great Britain. He died in 2005, just a few months after I met him on Nederweert cemetery. Col. Georgie Dee, Reverend Glynn Williams and Jack Brouwer in front of the grave of Henry Eric Harden VC Royal Army Medical Corps I will try to post a list of his awards latere on.

What awards did Herman Goering receive?
Herr General replied to hhbooker2's topic in State, Civil Awards & Decorations
Found this scan in my archive. If I remember correctly these are suppossed to be from Goering. Now in a private British collection. -
A few months ago I was in Shrewsbury as a guest off the Light Infantry. I talked to a lot of veterans there. I wasn't able to remember all of there names. One of them was a DSO, MBE winner who served as an officer in the 17th Dogra ( Jogra ? ) regiment in the Dutch East Indies. After the war he served in the KSLI. He also told me about on of his forefathers. A Vice Admiral in the Royal Navy, Who could this man be? I believe his name sounded like Delmee Murray. This is what he wrote in a book for me:

Hi Mike, I think that it is indeed the Grandofficer star from the Belgian Order of the Crown. http://users.skynet.be/hendrik/ Commandeur en groot-officier translates as Commander and Grandofficer but mistakes in the grades of higher foreign awards are often made in old dutch newspapers. -

Found Mister G. General Tonnet. Al the awards match. Only he has a 4th class in the Order of the Lion and the Sun. But that could be a mistake. He also has a Belgium Grandcross. Order of the Crown. -

Eric, in the newspaper archives these persons are often named together: Luitenant-Kolonel W. Froger, Majoor J.A.G. van Andel and Kapitein Baron van Ittersum Could this be the missing Kapitein ? -
