Again, I would save your money and put it toward a better piece. You can't go too far wrong buying the best affordable quality. That is one bad puppy! I don't like the overall condition or the placement of the maker mark just for openers. I could go on but you get my point.

So, simply stated, probablyl not in my lifetime. Then, too, consider it from the publisher's perspective as a resource allocation exercise. The publisher has x bucks to publish x++ books and will choose to put money on high return projects. A highly specialized reference work such as this can't be expected to hit the New York Times Best Seller List. Too bad for us.
I just learned there is a reference book on german generals 1921-1945. If anyone has a copy would you check it for a picture of Weidinger. If a picture exists please post it.
Hard to tell from the photos but I sure don't like the scabbard which looks put together and the dagger is nothing to write home about. Were I you I would save my money and put it toward a better piece. You will never go wrong buying the best quality you can afford. That said why not run it past the guys on the SS Forum over at GDC.com. Bernie Brule and/or Dave Hohaus will help you out. PS That pommel nut is a sight to behold also! Keep your money in your pocket.
I'm sorry David, I can't do it and stay within the file size limitations of this forum. If you would like a picture send me your email and I'll send it that way. There are faint traces of file marks that have been polished and well finished.
