Couldn't we keep it simple for the gentleman? Since it is colloquial english the definition need not be precise. Heiko, it's the same as "first class or first rate." These are also colloquial terms that having nothing to with which part of the horse goes over the bar last, a colloquial term used by both friends and enemies to describe moi.

Internal lid markings very different from those in the parallel thread but similar and only similar to the markings of case for Marshall's magnificent EKI. Here the markings use the same type style. The address line on Marshall's uses a different type style. The shape of the crown here differs substantially from the shape found in Marshall's case.

Heiko, without regard to the meaning of the colors in the ribbon (I would guess the colors are significant to both Germany and Turkey) you have produced yet another magnificent bar. Very nice!

Continuing with decorations Turkish...What ribbon was used for the Osmanie, same as the Medjidie? I think I know the answer to this one...Impossible to tell the grade of TO or MO without a medal bar or an award document, correct?
