    5. Hey Paul, got it from a French militaria forum I am one. But you must be able to find one quiet easy, in fact they are not that rare. I would be glad to be of any help, if needed. cheers |<ris
    6. I am using the seller's pic's. It is wel marked "A N", not sure what it stands for...I' ve seen Armée Nationale and Atelier Nationale.... But I like it.

    9. Hey Mervin, they must be something like 1950 to 1960. Most things related to the harbor were in English. |<ris

    12. Headgear is my main interest field, and when it is related to my home town Antwerp, it fit's two themes at once! Here is a soccer cap of a guy who played for one of the oldest teams in Antwerp. Not interested in football, so I can't give you much more info on it....
    13. That would have been a killer, in grey! But I would like that one too. Great addition. |<
    14. Hey John, new uniforms were in use in 1970, but some regions kept the old hats a bit longer. Army abolished those hats during WWI. cheers |<ris
    15. It is indeed the highest NCO Gendarme kepis, for parade purpose. The B stands for King Baudouin. A rather rare object these days. |<ris
    16. Hey Mervyn, I like them too. And something made me pick them out of a house clearing a friend of me was doing. The problem is I can't lay the finger on the reason of my choice! Sadly the women figure suffered some damage. I have been told they do well on auctions, but can't find any results. Apparently during my search on the internet, I only come by other people also looking for information regarding the artist. Any help is appreciated. cheers |<ris
    17. Here is a full view of the halberd peak(Swiss 17th century!);
    18. I see it was relocated, thanks Brian. "side, or cheek, pieces attached to the head and running along two sides of the handle" were the therms I was seeking when mentioning that even Viollet le Duc did pay attention to that attachment. Just like on this halberd, that is a time piece.
    19. Hey Brian, you are absolutely right about the lack of a elaborated way to hold the hammer to the stick. Just found out that even Viollet le Duc did pay attention to that attachment, so that makes it a rather ordinary 19 th or even 20 th century copy. It might indeed fit under the swords and edged weapons section. Feel free to move. cheers |<ris
    20. An (probably!) Belgian artist, that little is know off... Not even sure of the gender of the artist, but works of his/her hand are very much sought after.
