    1. Yeah, Walli or Wally and Waldi works both. Sounds a bit strange though. Bob, great medal bar and nice to have some History with it Gerd
    2. Btw, 95 Dollar is a heck of a good price for the Expensive-Meister, if you ask me. Normally he would charge much more for it. Maybe he knows??? Gerd
    3. ahhh, thats the one, we talked about, isn?t it, Rick? Gerd
    4. Wild Card, i guess, you just made someone happy Here is my Glory 3rd class (and i agree, Chris, there is no such thing as a "low" third class, these were mostly earned under risk for life) I just love the patina, this example developed. Research is in progress for this Glory 3rd class. Gerd
    5. I agree with the sentiments above. Bob, as you replied on the sales-thread, i hope, you didn?t buy it. I am surprised, that noone has noticed that case on the sales-thread over at WAF and started a discussion. Gerd
    6. Thats a nice Red Banner of Labor, Chris. I only have two on suspension. A Type 3 Variation 2(116.698) and a Type 6(474.974):
    7. Can someone explain this newbie, what were the requirements for the award of these badges? TIA best, Gerd
    8. That is a fantastic piece, Chris. Are these pre-war Red-Banners researchable? Thanks for sharing Gerd
    9. Interesting. So we can assume, that they produced all foreign decorations, which were awarded to germans? Gerd
    10. Probably not, but its a nice wartime (end 44 to mid 45) example though. Gerd
    11. Hi Chris and welcome, we already found out, but thanks for adding it to this thread. Lowest observed s/n for the "swallow-tail" or "dove-tail"-variation is 79.826 and highest observed is 84.146. I have also seen the one selling for about 1k, unbelievable. I would love to own one of them Gerd
    12. Thats an excellent piece, Bob Can someone specify the ribbons for me please? This is, what i recognize: 1. Red-Eagle 4th class with crown (like Rick said) 2. Crown Order? 3. Centenary Medal 4. Something Hessian? 5. Saxon-Altenburg MEdal? 6. ? (damned, i know that ribbon!) 7. White Falcon? 8. Waldeck something 9. ? 10. ? 11. ?
    13. The Supreme Soviet probably invented a regulation after seeing that
    14. Yes, i would like to know that as well. What is the History of this shield? Gerd
    15. Well, the Red-Star is not odd, as before June 1943 the Order was worn on the left side.(Can?t see the attachment right now. What uniform is he wearing? From what time-period?) What is strange, are the medals. Why does he wear them on the right side? Maybe he wanted to be sure, that everyone can easily distinguish between his orders and his medals? Don?t know... Gerd
    16. Hello Kim and welcome, thats indeed strange. Maybe his tailor had a bad day and messed the uniform up?. Its not a mirrored image, isn?t it? Gerd
