Soviet Looking for these Numbered Soviet Awards
Gerd Becker replied to Biro's topic in USSR: Soviet Orders, Medals & Decorations
I am looking for the following orders: Order of the Red Star Nr. 922.290 Order of the Red Star Nr. 476.613 Order of the Red Star Nr. 3.549.323 Order of the Great Patriotic War 2nd class Nr. 464.475 Order of the Great Patriotic War 1st class Nr. 59.329 Order of Lenin Nr. 306.506 -
Ok, a few questions crossed my mind: Commander of Food and Forage? What is that? Did he got this position because he didn?t well? Or because he changed the unit and had to start in a lower position? Or was that an important position? On Service Staff, what does that mean? The active staff? Chief of Staff or Commander of Staff translates with the german Stabschef or Chef des Stabes? Commander of Base Service was the Commander of the Base Service-Staff? So he were in the Army and switched to the Air Force in 1937? When you have a little spare-time, could you write down his ranks in Russian, if possible? I try to find the german equivalents to them. Thanks Gerd

ebay Italy I have to keep that in mind Nice Jacket, Andreas -
Hi Andreas, thanks, you have seen this one, haven?t you? He got, beside his Red-Star an OGPW 1st class Nr. 59329 and the Medals for Victory over Germany and Defense of Leningrad. Unfortunately there was only a very very dark picture of our man. I will post it here, but he will remain a ghost, as there is really not much to see on that photo. Rick, you are the best! Thanks, mate. Gerd

Rick, thats great. Thank you so much. One question to the visor: With scrambled eggs you mean the silver squiggled stuff right on the "sunscreen"? Forgive me, i don?t know the right terms for uniforms and headgear. So he made a decent career and even made it to Major and Divisional Commander. Thats great. Rick, don?t strain your eyes too much with these blurry copies. They are already packed up to be shipped to you soon. Thanks again, my friend. I owe you. Gerd

Hi everyone, i got the Research for two of my orders today and one of them is an Order of the Red-Star with screwpost-base and a quite low number. The translation of the research is in progress and will be posted soon in this thread. Here is the Order of the Red Star Number 217.937, awarded on the 01.10.1943.

Bob, this is one of the most wonderful soviet awards. Its an award mainly awarded to Junior Officers and Company Commanders. Its made from sterling silver with hot baked wonderful red enamel. I hope to own one myself one day. This one is special, because its researched and Rick has lots of information of the awardee. I am sure, he will start a thread about this one day. Rick, thanks so much Gerd
