Charles, Here is a photo of Feldwebel-Leutnant Hans Melzer from GRR Nr. 100. Look at the ribbon bar and the device on the EK2 ribbon. He received SV4X on 3.09.1916 SA4X ON 24.05.1916 Christophe

Hi, There is a medal which is very similar to this one (only for the crown, but it may be a clue) from Selbstschutz Bataillon von Heydebreck. Your medal is probably for hat. I have no more information for the moment Christophe

Gotcha I'v got it : Kurt Zehmisch Received the SH3, 27.11.1916 SA3bX, 19.10.1915. No SV3bX on Roth's book. No Hohenzollern. I remember when I bought this, I have got a small paper with a unit and and a first name Kurt and the first letter of the name Z. AFter that I can easily find it. But one medal is missing. Now Rick with his fabulous research can find it. Regards Christophe

Great medal Rick. I have seen a lot in german auction catalog but this is the first time I see such item in color. I've never heard about a fake from this medal. Christophe

Yes Charles this is this photo. You have got a beautiful uniform here. It is possible to have a close up of the Lippe cross (for Franz). You can see in one photo I posted yesterady that the Bulgarian cross is wearging by Mackensen on the left side of the uniform not on the right. I think, not sure, that you may put a TWM on the right side of your uniform and the Bulgarian order on the left. Regards Christophe
