    1. A 3rd Class Medjidie Order with Sabers ...
    2. A Crimean Period 1 st Class Medjidie Order ...
    3. A Turkish Made 1st Class Medjidie Order ...
    4. Dear Jonathan , There are many kind of different Medjidie Orders made in many different countries since the period of Sultan Abdulmecit till the end of Ottoman Empire , Starting the Turkish Republic. As many times it was mentioned (Although it is a little more complicated which i will try to describe for you here shortly ...) , a quick way for you to understand is , the ones with the "Darphane-i Amire" ( the official Ottoman Mint which was located in Istanbul ) hallmarked (it is in the center of the reverse) are Turkish made ones... Some of them has the "Sah Mark" (Metal Purity) some doesn't have , some of them has the master mark , some doesn't have , some of them has only the mint mark and vs... There are also many nice examples of the Medjidie orders which are made in France such as Halley , La Foyalle and etc .. Also perfect and the most rare examples such as Rothe Made in Austria Wien , and the British Made ones , Crimean Period and etc .... The main difference between the 3rd and 4 th Classes are the ribbons , 3 rd Class has the Neck ribbon , but the 4th Class has the normal breast ribbon... On the up of the Red Enameled Crescent and Star of the 4th classed one you will see a silver circle connection ring , but on the 3rd classed one , the Crescent & Star is a whole part with a long silver ring which the neck ribbon is passing thorough inside .. Both of them do not have the breast stars. .... altough both of them has the gold center 3rd and 4th class ... ( The 5th Class have the Silver Center , the place which the Tughra , Signature of the Ottoman Empire's Sultan Marked) . If you ask about the sizes , it is really a complicated big subject , for example , as opposite of many people knows , in reality , the First Class Orders are Smaller sized then the 3rd Class orders... but of course the 1st Class Breast Stars are bigger then the 2nd class Breast Stars.... Hope it helps , Kind Regards, Avsar Ibar
    5. Dear Owain , 260 USD for a Silver Yemen Medal , if the condition is good , is a very nice price. In Turkish Market , before the Global economical crises , they were going for 400 USD to 600 Usd (if they have the original Suspension and Ribbon)... Now they are going for 300 to 400 USD. All the best , Avsar Ibar
    6. Dear Friends , If someone can give me an information regarding the name of the receipent and the date of the HSU no:8846 , i will be very very happy. Thanks in advance , All the best Avsar Ibar
    7. The Ottoman (Arabic) Numbers . Btw , Please consider that , as the numbers are same with the Arabic alphabet , Ottoman Language is very different and more rich then Arabic...
    8. Dear Murat , Congratulations for your new beautiful purchases. I hope both of them will have a good place in your collection . Both of them , Very nice and %100 original orders. Specially the one which has the Solid Gold Crescent and Star with neck ribbon ... (i love them a lot) , and if you can find the Osmanie order full in gold , including the gold reverse center and the date of 699 (I can say that they are very rare as the ones with sabers) , don't miss it. Also the 4th class is very nice and attractive. All the best , Avsar IBAR PS: For an information , i am attaching the Ottoman Numbers ...
    9. Demir Abi , / Dear Mr.Demir , Thank you very much for your perfect pictures and details. Sincere Regards, Avsar IBAR
    10. Yeah , but honestly , Dimitrovs are not attractive for me.. Here , The Sukhbaatar and some of his other friends... :)
    11. Hello There , Dear Bob , first of all , i really wish to congratulate you for your knowledge about the Mongolian Orders and your beautiful collection of Sukhbaatars.. All my life , i am very happy when I learn that , those spiritual and on the other hand valuable items belong to the ones , whom can feel them , whom can care them like you and our other friends here in GMIC. Not as much as you have but.... a little collection Sbs and Lenins... All the best , Avsar
    12. Terry , Your collection became very nice.. All the best , Avsar
    13. Dear Ed , If you can send me also , i will be very pleased , info@avsaribar.com Sincere Regards, Avsar Ibar http://www.turkishmedals.com
    14. Dear Palencia , I just wish to give some more interesting information , by the way , all the info which you and other friends mentioned are right. You order is %100 Original 4th Class Medjidie Order , just as known , must have a red ribbon with green lined , can see the green lines on the button , probably you ribbon is also original i just becomes tired because of the years.. Hope you know , that button on your ribbon , mentioned a higher rank of this 4th class order in the other recipients of the 4th (same class). First of all , that zigzag is made by mint to check the purity of the silver , they was taking the silver dust with making that zigzag and testing it. It has a style of that zigzag , i mean as it looks like a simple zigzag , but it is not , a new made zigzag can be understood very easily from a professional eyes.. The other stamp which can be seen on the back and on the front up is called "SAH" stamp , which is started to stamped on the items by Ottoman Empire after the year 1844. This stamp is made of Arabian "S" and "H" letters (In Ottoman Alphabet) , "SAH" comes from the word "SAHiH" which means "REAL" . In some Medjidie orders you can see only one "sah" stamp , even there are examples without it , and it is interesting , there are some examples with only a "sah" stamp on the back , without Ottoman Mint mark... 15. Dear Demir Abi , Hurmetler , Honestly , i can not say that i like this bar either.. The Hicaz Railway is not on the Hicaz Railway ribbon , it must be a pink ribbon on a bar , and the Life saving (Tahlisiye Medal)'s ribbon is absolutely wrong , must NOT be lined , it must be a soft plain green ribbon... All the best , Avsar Ibar
    16. Merhaba Kemal Bey , That Medjidie Order is ORIGINAL. Thanks, Saygilarimla, Avsar Ibar
    17. Hi There , Could you please send the detailed large picture of the upper part , (The Red Cresent Part in the middle of the star) Regards, Avsar Ibar
    18. Dear Friends for your information , item number 250497093611 on e*** is an completely fake Medjidie order which is on sale now. Cheers , Avsar Ibar
    19. PS: Even from this size , i feel that it is original , but as you can see , the cresent and the star part on it is missing , the center is definetely repaired as you mentioned , what about the condition of the enamels ? Alan , if i will be you , i will not buy this order with this condition about his center unless it is not very cheap or has a own document, this Osmanie orders are very attractive orders , but they are not very rare (I mean the 3 th and 4th classes) , i always advice my customers to buy the best possible conditioned Osmanie and Medjidie Orders .. I mean they are not such as a gold Hunkar Iskelesi or a big size Hareket-i Arz medal , which a collectioner will say ; I don't care about the condition , because i dont know when i will see them again in my life... Cheers .. Avsar IBAR
    20. Dear Alan , Are those pictures that much small size , or i can not open them with my imac ? It is very hard to tell something from a 4 cm size picture.. Can you post bigger ones ?? Thanks, Avsar
    21. Dear Sirs , As it is hard to determine from the pictures , but what i can see and what i believe is both of the orders are 4th Class Osmanie Orders and both of them are made in the borders of Ottoman Empire , The difference between them is not time , it is the masters style , unfortunately even the Darphane-i Amire made ones doesn't have only a one single type , right now you can see several different types of examples of the "Darphanei Amire" Medjidie or Osmanie Order's examples in the Darphane-i Amire Museum right now here in Istanbul. In my opinion , As Mr. Tim mentioned they made by "Darphane-i Amire" (The Empire's Mint) . Sincere Regards, Avsar Ibar
