The combination might be unique... with the Anhalt Friedrich-Cross which makes the circle of potential wearer of this bar possible to find (cross my fingers). Preussen, Eisernes Kreuz 1914, 2. Strange prices... the 2nd classes crosses were worth the same amount of money if not more than the stars 2nd class. The 1st class star was the same price of the 2nd class star... C

I also have some doubts that the EK2 1914 is the original one attached on this bar. Maybe a earlier EK2 1870 was replaced by a EK2 1914. All other orders and medals look tightly (very) attached to the ribbons and the bar. Also on the back it looks untouched, just WM3 has been attached with a different thread... But this doesn't disturb me, because very likely it was given back to the competent order chancery, when the wearer died. ...just some thoughts.... but by the way the bar is constructed, it's quite a typical Württemburg'sche Schnalle/Spange... look also how the ribbons on the back are folded (not like a bow)... C

Yeah... I am with Sascha about his comments... also the red flashy backing, like it was put on it yesterday, don't look really it has been in a drawer for 80-90 years. Most bars show moths damage (lightly to very heavy) or at least some wear signs... Of course it would be different if it lied in his original box or case all the time...

Very, very unusual group with lots of exotic decorations... Too bad, that there aren't rolls for the Schaumburg-Lippe Kreuz für treue Dienste (1914-18)... it was scarcely given, due to the small size of the principality... C

I am not sure that it's WWI WM3, but you never know... was it also given during peace time?

Nice bars! Interesting the one of a Württemburg'scher Officer with Ottoman medals and, what I personally like the Oldenburg one with the very nice Berliner dealer label on the back... I have never seen one like this.

I have never seen these going for less than 100 EUR, either on shows or being sold by dealers. Weitze should have it and maybe Bretzendorfer as well... Compare the prices on the net, my suggestion. C

Der letzte Besitzer musste es erleben, dass als Folgeerscheinung des Weltkrieges eines Tages französische Truppen in den Ökonomiegebäuden einzogen und es sich dort für eine Zeit lang gut sein ließen. Nach dem Ende des ersten Weltkrieges kam der Besitz in öffentliche Hand, wobei Teile des Besitzes abgetrennt und als Bauernhöfe weiterverkauft wurden. Während des zweiten Weltkrieges diente Schloss Dehrn vorübergehend als Reservelazarett. Dann bezog 1944 das Oberkommando der Luftwaffe West auf dem Rückzug aus Frankreich seine Räume.

Beautiful bar! It should be identifiable... The Hansa trio narrows the research quite a lot plus the Meckemburg's crosses, the rare white falcon and the even rarer reuss cross with swords and crown. Could he possibly be a reserve KM officer?
